Not illegal, though - “unorthodox” according to those Trump-hating libs at CNN.

Is the “trump hating libs” supposed to be sarcasm? Are people still pretending that mainstream media is liberal? And since when is a television channel yhr arbiter of legality?

The GOP lost their minds over Bill Clinton, and the use of the word “is” was the highest scandal in politics for a few years (half our “supreme” court was involved in the political witch hunt against him). Donald Trump commit felonies, multiple, and Donald Trump is still the standard bearer for the GOP. I remember when Republicans used to pretend they had honor. That ship has set sail.

Yes, that was sarcasm.

Trump's continuing to dwell in habits, despite those habits being against record retention laws, is yet another data point that calls his cognitive faculties into question.

I am of the belief that Merrick Garland is moving (albeit too slowly for the seriousness of the many crime moments of the Trumpenvolk), but why would he change? He never experiences any real blowback. The media gratifies him, the GOP still wants him around - miss me with the lukewarm words of Moscow Mitch, who could have had Trump out on his rear and the much more dependable Pence in the Oval at multiple points.

At this point it’s a turtle’s race between Trump’s natural death and Merrick slooooooowly easing into prosecuting Trump and honestly I think Donald will die before he has to answer for his crimes, from the small annoying misdemeanors to small felonies - like stealing classified documents and illegally destroying documents - to the biggies like sedition and treason.

Lock him up

The National Archives confirmed on Friday that it had found classified information among documents that President Donald J. Trump had taken with him to his home in Florida from the White House and that it had consulted with the Justice Department about the matter.

The agency “has identified items marked as classified national security information within the boxes,” according to a letter posted on the National Archives and Record Administration website that was sent to Representative Carolyn B. Maloney, Democrat of New York and the chairwoman of the House Oversight Committee, who has been scrutinizing how Mr. Trump handled presidential records.

“Because NARA identified classified information in the boxes, NARA staff has been in communication with the Department of Justice,” said the letter, written by David S. Ferriero, the national archivist.

Yes, that same Mar a Lago.

I seem to remember Republicans trying to make hay out of a Chinese spy targeting Rep Eric Swalwell. Swalwell immediately reported everything he knew to the FBI (unlike the Trumps who tried to carry on like nothing had happened), so I sense it’s not really about the safety of documents so much as Republicans don’t care about anything unless they think they make trouble for Democrats.

Swalwell was the one who turned her in. And in thanks, right wing media went out of their way to make up fake stories about how Swalwell was supposedly having an affair with her despite there being no credible evidence of it.

It’s all a game to them. The sooner they can get rid of Democrats in power, the sooner we can get to the fascist fantasyland the GOP are slobbering over.
