What are the skincare products you can’t live without?

Vitners daughter!!! So good. But only if you exfoliate as well. When people say it doesn't work its likely because they are applying it on top of dry/ dehydrated skin. Without exfoliating nothing is going to work. For an exfoliator I like Polish by Osmosis and use it 2 x a week. And a nightly scrub by Obagi after washing my face.

I'm late 40s and still have very oily skin, wake up greasy in the mornings. Vitamin C in the morning, moisturizer. I've been partial to Paula's Choice products for a few years. My dermatologist specifically told me to avoid PM moisturizers, use in the morning only, and to avoid any acid-products such as those with glycolic or other acids.

Bottom line- the only thing is
1. Sunblock
2. A good moisturizer
Literally, that is it. The rest is just playtime and $$.

Except that tretinoin has actual scientific evidence of anti-aging benefits, so add that one to the list.

Vitamin C also has a robust body of RCT evidence behind it, re: accelerating cell turnover. otoh, it's _really_ hard to maintain it without oxidation.

I use the Ordinary C powder so I can mix it fresh every morning with a drop of their ferulic and their marula oil.

I'm the vitaC poster above you, and I use that powder too. IMHO science nerd opinion, covering the powder with an anaerobic occlusive (like oil) is the key to slowing oxidation once it's on your face.

I started a prescription Trevino in but stopped during the winter because it was causing issues with the dry winter air.

My routine is basically a mild cleanser, toner with hylauronic acid, vit c serum, a moisturizer, and a beauty oil.

Rory - Tretinoin
Skinceuticals - CE serum
Skinceuticlas - triple lipid restore

I wash with body shop aloe sensitive and use the aloe toner occasionally.

Vanicream SPF ( which is basically not made anymore - so I’ll be switching soon)

I had been using knocks offs for years, but I’m in my mid forties now and need the good stuff.

Doterra Frankencense oil. For the rare occasion I start to get a headless cyst. It's amazing. Maybe gone overnight.

Tretinoin
Lactic acid - Sunday Riley Good Genes gives me a wonderful glow.
Sunscreen in any and all weather, reapplied regularly

Zo Skin Complexion Renewal Pads
TNS advanced serum
Alastin eye cream and alastin hydro tint sunscreen
ZO Skin Exfoliating Scrub
.1% prescription tretinoin
6% prescription hydroquinone (use annually in winter)
Cereve PM moisturizer

I’ve had acne since I was 14 and finally at 40 it is gone and I have very few marks left. No wrinkles but I also get Botox and lasers.

Also on Team BioOil. I apply a thin layer before my tret and it keeps me from looking like a lizard. I use it head to toe during the winter just as I'm getting out of the shower. It's my Zombie Apocalypse product.
