| wow I haven't heard most of the products here. Maybe I am poor. I just use vaseline liquid for moisturizer and korean bb cream with spf. |
I wear it to sleep. I use vitamin c and an under eye cream in am let them set for 30 mins then slather on biooil again. Let that absorb while I do drop off then put on an spf moisturizer. |
Vitamin C also has a robust body of RCT evidence behind it, re: accelerating cell turnover. otoh, it's _really_ hard to maintain it without oxidation. |
I use La Roche Posay Effaclar followed by a drugstore cleanser like Cetaphil. |

Squalane oil for moisturizing
Elta MD UV clear 46 for daily facial sunblock Some of you people have really long "must have" lists. I use and like other things, but those are the two non-negotiable items. |
. If you look up dermatologist’s personal skincare routines, they all include a Vitamin A derivative, in addition to sunblock and moisturizer. It is usually Retin-A, because there are decades of studies to prove it’s efficacy. For those whose skin can’t handle Retin-A, otc retinoids are used, such as retinol, or retinaldehyde. This info information is easy to find online. |
Which of these do you use? https://www.bio-oil.com/en |
What is a good OTC retinol? |
PP, are you able to buy those sunscreens in the US, and where do you buy them or what websites do you use? Thank you! |
The pink one “scars and stretch marks” but on my face and chest and not for scars or stretch marks. |
Pp here, I use Retin A micro. Here is a link to dermatologist skin care routines. It seems that SkinBetter Science AlphaRet is a favorite retinol product, but it’s pricey. https://www.allure.com/story/skin-care-routines-of-dermatologists/amp |
I use the Ordinary C powder so I can mix it fresh every morning with a drop of their ferulic and their marula oil. |

1) retin-a: I was getting a deep pimple that would forever to heal about every 2 months. Then it would leave a hyperpigmented spot behind for another few months. As soon as one was finally, finally cleared, another would come. With retin-a, I have had maybe 2 pimples in the past 3 years and they clear much faster. My skin is pretty flawless now. IPL helped too I’m sure. 2) a custom blend face oil serum from Province Apothecary. I layer it under my retin-a at night and under moisturizer in daytime. 3) Elta MD UV clear. I’ve tried other sunscreens but always circle back to this one. It is the best. |
