Bathrobe for after delivery

I had a soft black bathrobe from Target. Black has downsides, too, though -- milk stains!

+1 with two vaginal deliveries. I don’t understand the concern about stains on a robe! I know everyone’s different but it’s really no different than being on your period with the amount of bleeding.

You must have horrible periods. This was not the case for me. There was a lot of blood.

Wow, I guess everyone really is different. For me, there was a lot of blood in the first 24 hours after my baby was born. Like puddles of it. After that, it got better and by day 3 post birth it was more like my period.

I bought a gray fleece robe from the target clearance rack. It was helpful during my very long, induced labor. I could move and walk around without my butt being exposed. I still wear it nine years later because it is soft and warm.

Post c-section, I wore my own pajamas. They give you disposable underwear and large pads, so I don’t remember my pajamas getting particularly bloody. A lot of women have hot-cold flashes postpartum, so I also found a big cardigan helpful. My robe felt unwieldy in bed.

One thing I'd like to know is, if we bring our own grippy socks, can we get out of wearing those weird brown ones? Of I have another kid I'd totally bring my own.

Are you kidding me? I looove those grippy socks. Still wear them in the winter!

I used an Eberjey robe for when I wandered out of my room. It was so cozy and I still use it!
