Assistant dad soccer coach asked DH

It must have been your MIL who tried to drive her car through the ropes at the Kentucky 3Day Event with a horse approaching at 30 MPH. "But I have to get over THERE!!!"

I was a lowly, unpaid volunteer but she had to back down and listen to me.

You and your husband need to back down and listen to the officials if you want your daughter to have any fun.

Asst Dad needs to coach the team and stop patrolling the sidelines.

What if our DD is one of the top players for the team? My DD is likely not complying with the coaches request because the coach is not holding the other players on the team to the standard that is needed to be competitive. Think of it as malicious compliance. Just to make a subtle point as our DD is one of the top players

The worst are the parents who literally stand ON THE FIELD as they scream for their kid’s team.

I’m a pretty low-key guy, but this issue has been the only cause of parental disputes at my kid’s soccer games.

It’s a safety hazard, for one thing; it’s also entirely disrespectful and intimidating to the kids from the other team.

Parents - stay the OFF THE FIELD!

Especially if they are Grimaces!

Sad to say that if this type of shit continues, we should probably just keep all parents on the other side of the fences. Has anyone ever improved their view by hugging the line? No. It's a childish power play. And, it says alot about you.

I don't give a shit if your kid is Alex Morgan or Lionel Messi. Society has rules and this is freaking youth soccer. Get a grip.

I support you, OP. Ignore the haters! They’re not trying to get close to the field because they can see their kid sitting on the bench from any old spot.

In terms of the playing field, you shouldn't be seated at the at the ends of the field where the goals are and you shouldn't be seated on the side where the players\coaches are.

You should only be seated on the opposite side of the field from where the players/coaches are or can sit anywhere outside of the of the sidelines/fence area.

OP, you both should have moved your chairs onto the field. That would put the assistant dad coach in his place!!!!!

You DH is an arse hole.

Are you really asking this question? I’d be mortified if I were you. I’d also never go to another game with my husband. I don’t even know if I would have a husband after that.
