Assistant dad soccer coach asked DH

Who was wrong or right?
We attended DD's soccer game tonight and plopped down in our fold out chairs on the side of the field. We were 6 inches in front of a cone with the imaginary line and the assistant dad coach came over to us and told us to move back. So we did. I didn't think anything of it. 5 minutes later I see my DH has moved his chair back up 6 inches and he's loudly saying that I can/should move my seat up too. He then states that the guy didn't ask anyone else further down to do the same even though they were a few inches over too. The assistant coach is in earshot. Honestly the 6 inches did not make a difference because there was plenty of grass from the white border of the soccer field, the cone was giving a buffer beyond that. Who was being petty here? |

Your husband is an asshole. The fact that you don’t immediately recognize he’s an asshole and you need to crowdsource this means you’re probably an asshole too. I feel bad for your daughter. It’s hard to grow up with parents like that. A lot of people will overlook it because they feel sorry for her. But a lot of people will quietly steer clear of her because of you. Sucks to be her. |

| My guess is that OP is either the assistant coach or the spouse of assistant coach and is crowdsourcing for validation for being so butthurt. Either way, of course the dad that moved his chair back is an ass. This does not require further confirmation. |

| If it’s by the side of the field and not the middle then they will ask you to move. It’s so the kids have enough room to take corners. I only know this because I was asked to move. No big deal. Just move. |

| Players get injured by chairs too close to the field..esp as they get older and the speed and momentum carry them hard into sideline chairs. Jeep chairs way back. |
