Assistant dad soccer coach asked DH

Doesn’t every team have that asshole parent/family the rest tolerate but no one actually likes?

But it was an assistant dad coach, not a real coach.

The fact that OP described him that way says everything we need to know about her character.

They deserve each other.

Yep. This little scenario is so silly. Yet another reason to avoid sports.

Avoid an activity that’s good for childrens mental and physical health because can’t handle some bozo parents? You’re as whacked as the OP.

You are married to a jerk.

Agree and he's probably a prick in everyway. They should have kicked him out.

Geez. People are so mean on this soccer forum. Agreed that common sense would dictate the DH was in the wrong. But man some of these comments are harsh.

Your husband is a jerk. Soccer rules state a spectator should be at least 10 feet back from the touch line. In this case, the cone. Not 6 inches, not 1 foot. 10 feet.

While we are discussing spectators at soccer - don’t sit or stand behind the goal either.

Do you really need to ask?

I see your husband’s point. Seems like you all are being singled out. Your daughter is probably better than his and this is how he is ‘dealing’ with it.

+1. What an absolute jerk your DH is.

Your hubby is a jerk. If I had to guess he is a registered republican. Just move back and enjoy the game sir.

You are the parents people complain about

Example link for local NCSL matches...note it is 3 yards/9 feet.

All well and good until a couple of U17 girls run into you chasing a ball. Then you might want to listen to the assistant dad coach suggesting you move back.
