The school board has voted in favor of Ziegler’s recommendation to keep the mask mandate. So I guess you guys will have to sue. |
A school board is above an EO signed by the most important and powerful figure in a state? Sounds absurd. |
Yup. When an order is morally wrong you are obliged to ignore it. |
Youngkin is also being sued by parents in Chesapeake. He is going to lose both in court and the court of public opinion. On the latter, he already has lost. His first week has been a disaster for him. |
You know who can’t breathe? The person you make sick who ends up on a ventilator. Were you born wrong or did you parents just do a terrible job of raising you? |
You both need to go back to 8th grade civics. If an executive order could override laws, then everytime we have D president he could just simply write an EO banning assault rifles and requiring more extensive background checks. Why don't they do that? Because it wouldn't override existing LAWS. |
phew! Great news!! |
The school board is not above state law which is above an EO. |
Whoops! The Virginia Constitution says it is. Here's more than you ever want to know about it: http://www.vsba.org/images/uploads/conferences/GuynnHOall.pdf |
You can sue but you understand courts don’t move fast so ultimately your kid will still be in a mask until LCPS removes the mandate and you’ll have spent legal fees for nothing |
This. And just remember if you sue, your name is public record and searchable then. |
I don't think they are actually a teacher. |
Now Ziegler wants to pick a fight on school start times? He’s just a glutton for misery isn’t he? |
