Stop & Shop, Aldi's, Market Basket?

(I was going to say Almacs but then I'm dating myself.)

Stop and shop, pricerite (I like Aldi but I live in south Providence and you know I'm not driving 15 minutes to get to an Aldi!), And urban greens (not driving to Attleboro). I just saw a local news story that there are a bunch of shortages locally, don't know why I'm not seeing it except that I usually shop when store first open.

99Ranch and HMart were stocked when I went on Sunday.

And the storm definitely impacted the trucks that had full deliveries.

People are calling out sick, and people are also quitting these strenuous, low paid jobs.

FDA inspector issues. There have been serval supply plants unable to meet inspections due to call outs. The factories are not able to ship if the stamp of inspection is not approved. This is one of many issues with the food chain.

LOL...native Rhode Islander here...we lived down the street from the Almacs at Hoxsie Four Corners in Warwick. My mom had a friend who worked there and during the blizzard of 78, a bunch of store employees hunkered down at our house when they were stranded and couldn't get home. Thanks for prompting this long-forgotten fun memory!!
