Is 'cutting' your orange juice with filtered water trashy?

Anonymous
I'm not going to dignify this question with an answer, but I will say that orange juice mixed with club soda is delicious.

who cares? if you like it, do it.

i like to cut mine with vodka, though.

If you like it it's not trashy. If you serve it to guests to save money it is trashy.

Yes, trashy.

Drinking bottled juice on the regular is trashy.

No juice or freshly squeezed on rare occasion or weekends

You wouldn't request this in public, would you? Why not? Because it feels a little trashy.

I wouldn’t request it because it’s finicky and I don’t want to inconvenience service workers that much, not because it’s trashy.

I know this is a tangent, but how is drinking orange juice trashy, when drinking a mimosa is a fancy mature adult thing to do?

I cut OJ with sparkling wine or hot wine

Do they charge you the full amount or do you get two drinks for one? Because that’s what that could sound like, like you’re being a miser.

DP. Really? That literally never would have occurred to me that I would be asking for two drinks for the price of one. If I say “lemonades for both my kids, half lemonade half water” am I going to look like I’m being miserly? This is good to know.

No idea, I’ve never checked the receipt. I ask for two lemonades but made with half water, half lemonade. I would assume they would charge for two separate drinks but, eating out with a family of 4, the extra $3 in either direction would not make any meaningful impact on the bill.
