I guess my dentist could have tried it also. Would have had the same abysmal results. Working from home doesn’t work well for certain professions.

Then how are there virtual academies for kids K-12 all over the world? So weird.

How come every 5 year old in the US doesn’t just do online Kindergarten? If it works so well, it would be way cheaper! So weird that the idea hasn’t gone mainstream. Huh. Turns out that it’s better for kids to be around other kids and learn from an actual teacher.

Yes, it’s true. Parents can’t sub. But they could definitely help out with es lunch and recess, where coverage has been a huge problem.

My doctor has been working remotely these past two weeks. Staff has been pulled to administer COVID testing so they are short staffed.

They continue to perform essential surgeries, but otherwise they’ve had to put some services on hold.

This is asinine - the infection rate in the county is highest it’s ever been and it’s completely reasonable to go virtual for a couple of weeks until the infection rate falls and mcps gets it’s act together with testing everyone. Btw not everyone is vaccinated and presumably many people with young kids are concerned

Are you working in person? Its a bit ironic a parent working at home demands someone else work in person to care for their kids claiming its safe for kids/teachers but not safe for them.

It wouldn’t change anything, though. covid will spread whether schools are open or not.
