ALERT MONTGOMERY: Winter Storm WARNING Just Issued!!!
From 1AM to 4PM. |
| Capital Weather Gang (who I trust the most as they'resuper clear about the uncertainty) says their best guess is 2-6 inches with the models trending towards accumulating snow. My kid just goes to daycare but I just grocery shopped with the assumption he could be staying home for a bit. Fortunately I don't have any big projects for work due, so I'm cleaning out my holiday inbox now to make tomorrow easier. |
1 in 10 chance of 11.8 inches, 90% of 1.7”. |
| The weather has more common sense than central office. Like, it’s pathetic it has come to this. |
Very pathetic but at the rate their going now, they’ll keep schools open and everyone will be absent. Just hold their employees hostage. |
They’re* typing too fast. An edit button would be nice. |
| 2-6" is not much snow. Just wake up earlier, leave earlier, drive slower. MCPS should make sure everyone knows to do this. It is not a big deal. I'm from Chicago and it would be a joke to shut down schools and panic over a few inches. |
You must be new here. Welcome to Monthomery County, MD. |
Or Montgomery County if you can spell … |
I am SO TIRED of the “I’m from *insert super snowy city here* and schools would NEVER close for a few inches” crap. We know, we know. Zip it already. |
Stop. You say that every year. You know this region is Chicago. |
Clap, clap, clap You realize that Chicago is far better prepared for snow, right? I lived in upstate NY for several years and rarely saw the grass for four months straight. It doesn’t matter or apply to this area. |
Chicago gets enough snow to invest significantly in snow management. This area doesn’t. Chicago is urban. Parts of Montgomery County are rural. |
