I have a student at WashU and DC is super happy there. So much flexibility with majors and the ability to change schools or double major, have minors across all their schools. Also loves the diversity of the students interests. With schools in business, engineering, art & architecture and also arts and science, lots of different kinds of kids. If premed, either is a great choice. |
WashU is a good school except the annoyance of most people thinking it's University of Washington in the state of Washington |
Or thinKing it's in DC. Also WashU is one of those schools that is blandly good at a lot of things it does, but isn't really exceptional in anything. |
If you or anyone else has experience with Emory: How easy would it be for an Emory business school undergrad to, say, double major in history or English? |
Pre med? Although people say the same about Emory but, Emory at least has Nursing and Public health as exceptional programs. |
You can only do two concentrations at Emory, so Business and History is considered 2. |
She did WashU ED2, Emory RD. We'll see what happens. |
But is it fairly easy to double major in business and English? |
Yes, it is fairly easy. I would take a lot of English courses the first two years because junior and senior years (when in the business school) you’ll only have space for 1-2 per semester. |
We visited both Emory and WashU over the summer and were very impressed with both schools for their academics and campus. However, since we were looking at STEM major decided to put WashU over Emory as Emory does not have a stand alone school of engineering and offers limited classes in CS. And yes, we know about Georgia Tech but that is not Emory even though I believe they do allow some cross registration. |
Just wait for the endowment-obsessed WashU booster to show up... |
You clearly know very little about colleges |
Don't be jealous |
Did they ED to WashU? |
Yes, but rejected sadly. ED2 to Emory so let's see. |
