This is an interesting thought. And CNN seems to be more forgiving of certain transgressions, since they kept Jeffrey Toobin on after his flashing incident. I think enough time has passed for Brian Williams wrongdoings that CNN would totally snap up him for the viewers who would follow him. |

Supposedly Tapper is getting the slot but he's such a smug bore. Zzzzzz. He will flop.
Brian Williams might be a good safe bet who'd appeal to middle America. You need someone normal and engaging in that 9pm hour, to combat loony tunes idiot Hannity and far left progressive Maddow. |
I love tapper. But I read he doesn’t want the gig- doesn’t want the evening slot due to family time and the more opinionated forum. |
| I find the format terribly boring: one hour of someone talking AT the audience in a clearly contrived way (same goes for the one-hour talking head shows on Fox and MSNBC too). It's one thing to have a show hosted by one person who brings on an array of interesting guests for two-way or group discussions, and it's quite another to have someone talk to themselves for an hour. |
| Nobody is watching snooze fest Chris Wallace in prime time. He's going to be on the CNN app or something. |
lol. More like he doesn't want the anti-white male backlash of getting the slot and he wasn't offered it because it's going to a female or person of color. |
| Who’s that long faced guy on cnn? Lives in Bethesda |
| The Democracy in Peril slot seems to be rotating. Last week Brianna Keilar did it. |

Oooh CNN tried to poach Gayle King to replace Cuomo but she said no. They used Briana K as a sub and it was soooo bad.
CNN’s Brianna Keilar, who filled in for Cuomo last week during the 9 p.m. hour, drew just 555,000 average viewers, according to the latest Nielsen figures. Sean Hannity’s viewership was six times that figure as 3.2 million tuned in to watch his show “Hannity” last week on FNC. |
Yeah apparently her ratings were so bad she’s not going to be the permanent host. |
