Anyone love their house so much they hate to travel?

I sometimes miss certain comforts of home, depending on where I am, but travel is temporary - the house is not enough of a reason to not do it.

This. Love my house and love traveling. It sure makes it easier when it’s time to end the vacation and come back to reality.

No OP. I have never understood homebodies. Are you afraid of people + adventure?

That's a big no! I have kids. Traveling to resorts/hotels means I don't have to cook or do dishes. Even at an AirBNB it means far less cooking/cleaning. I like being at a resort where I can be served food and adult beverages... away from the loads of laundry staring at me every day, away from household chores. Traveling is a very healthy thing for us.

I’m not a homebody… I’m never home.

I don’t see why I have to go overseas or to an island to do what I do at home, a short drive or a flight to see a friend.

Girl treat yourself!

Every few weeks you should get a wash and fold service, a cleaner and order in!

Do.not.live.this.way!

Just don’t do chores every few weeks!

Im with you , OP. Hotels are gross. Rentals are icky. I’m rarely impressed and overspend. My house is clean and bed is cozy. I do enjoy traveling but love coming home

Are you being intentionally obtuse. People travel to do things and see things that they can't do at home. Our family loves the outdoors and hiking. We hike a ton in DC, but we still loves to travel to other places and hike there as well.

I love to travel but I also feel a sense of relief when I get home and have all my things and can relax in my bed etc.

I love traveling, because there're experiences that I cannot get staying home: snorkeling, paragliding, kayaking with seals, hiking among the sequoias, eating street food in Asia, people watching, bird watching, taking a Turkish bath, looking at great architecture and art, exploring castles and historic gardens, on and on.

Home is nice, but the world is huge.

I just don’t find “the other places” all that different.

Once went on a vacation and the other couple we went with the h got sick bedridden for 3 days. The rest of us were so happy not to have to do his itinerary. There are just so many museums, ruins, mountains you can see before they all become a blur.

Also I don’t mean stay 3 miles from your house. But I doubt you’ve seen everything within a short drive here in the US let alone the whole US.

I love to travel but have become much pickier about accommodations as I have gotten older. I rarely find a hotel that is as nice as my bedroom & bathroom at home. It kind of sucks. I end up shelling out a lot of money for nicer places to stay.

I live in a small shitty condo in the valley in LA. I do it so I can afford to travel the world. I’m at 143 countries and counting. Once I get to all 193 countries I’m moving far far far away from the valley!! For now it’s worth it, to afford travel.

I prefer my house to hotels and my cooking to restaurants, but that's because we are not crazy rich people so we never do luxury anything. I am sure I'd like it better if we could go to $$$$$ hotels and amazing restaurants.
