Why was the thread on the sexual assault at a Loudoun county school deleted?

If you believe that the school system is trying to cover up a rape allegation, then you must believe that the police and prosecutors are also trying to cover it up. What is more likely, that there is a fairly large conspiracy among Loudon County officials to engage in a cover-up or a father, his lawyer, and a partisan reporter with a history of false reporting are not telling the truth?

Loudon Now seems to be reporting that Sheriff has confirmed that there was an investigation related to Smith's daughter, and that there is a pending case. No comment from the school district, nor any confirmation from sheriff that same person was charged with more recent assault.

The school district said much of the LCPS response protocol is dictated by law enforcement agencies, and the administrators must not intervene in such investigations. The school district did not comment on the specific incident.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a two-month investigation was conducted of the alleged assault and a case remains pending in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, although no details were shared.

District spokesman Wayde Byard said neither he nor School Board members could comment on the alleged assaults. Although doing so would not risk revealing any students’ identities, Byard also said the district could neither confirm nor deny that the assailant was the same student in both incidents.

The Sheriff’s Office did not release any information about the cases, citing Virginia code the seals cases involving minors.

I'm a LCPS parent, and all I can find on this story appear to be on right-wing or Fox News websites.

'"We can confirm a May 28, 2021 case that involved a thorough 2-month-long investigation that was conducted to determine the facts of the case prior to arrest," the sheriff’s office told Fox News. "This case is still pending court proceedings. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is not able to provide any documents that pertain to a pending case." The sheriff's office confirmed that the case involved sexual assault.'

They were not able to get the office to confirm that it was the same individual.

In the second case, the Sheriff's office publicly confirmed an arrest. If you believe the Daily Wire, which I don't, the suspect was also arrested in the first alleged attack. But, for some reason, the Sheriff's office is not confirming that arrest. These leads me to believe that there wasn't an arrest or charges. I could be wrong, obviously, but we will just have to wait and see.

Good question.
Why aren't other outlets reporting on this story? Do other news outlets not believe in reporting both sides of a story?

Just to clarify more why I am talking a hard line on this. I watched for months while Imran Awan was smeared on this website. I did not believe that Luke Rosiak was completely making things up. I watched as the Daily Wire stories spread across the internet and onto Fox News, etc. I watched Trump smear Awan. Then it turned out it was all false.

If the alleged assault turns out to have occurred, there will be plenty of time to discuss it. But, I am not going to put any faith in Luke Rosiak and the Daily Wire.

It'll be wild if it does come out that the Broad Run (recent) assailant is the same as in the Stone Bridge (old-Mr. Smith's daughter) incident.

I'm hesitant to believe it because in the recent article about the Broad Run assault, the paper identifies the assailant as male. In the Stone Bridge incident, the assailant is (and always has been) identified as gender-fluid and transgender.

Jeff what you are doing here is borderline victim shaming. A girl was brutally raped in the bathroom on school property and the school system (and media) made the father of this girl look like a jackass in front of the entire nation. This alone is horrifying. If the second part is true that the same person was involved in a second attack parents should be aware that the school system is not protecting children and we should all be outraged.

That should be your first clue that something is hinky with the allegations.

Other news outlets practice actual journalism and don't just take what one crank says as gospel and don't speculate or work to whip this up into something it probably is not.

These are allegations that nobody in authority has confirmed.

Well, no. You don't know the first thing to be true. It's just something you want to believe.

The second -- he did that ALL on his own. Now, months later, he has some outrageous story that just happens to mirror the boogeyman fantasies of the most vehement and belligerent opponents of basic accommodations for trans children? You will excuse us for being skeptical.

If it does come out that the first assault occurred, it will be beyond tragic. If, indeed, that attacker went on to undertake another attack, it will be truly horrifying. But, beyond the question of gender, why has the Sheriff's office confirmed one arrest but not the other? The first alleged assault was investigated for 2 months, the second for just a couple of days.

From the fox news article - what do you interpret “investigation…prior to arrest” and “pending court proceedings” to mean?

"We can confirm a May 28, 2021 case that involved a thorough 2-month-long investigation that was conducted to determine the facts of the case prior to arrest," the sheriff’s office told Fox News. "This case is still pending court proceedings. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is not able to provide any documents that pertain to a pending case." The sheriff's office confirmed that the case involved sexual assault.

And honestly, if they are the same (and I'm doubtful the first incident happened, or that if something happened, it didn't happen as described), then the question would become did the assailant change schools with a pending case against him? That's what's not adding up at all.

Sexual assault in schools are obviously horrific. But there's not much that's similar about these two alleged incidents. And the first one has so many convenient details that match a narrative promoted by bigots who hate trans people so as to be dubious. Throw in the possibility of a predator being allowed to change schools while facing charges ... it just doesn't ring true at all.
