Please show me evidence of falsehood. Thanks. |
Can we discuss this? I think this deserves some research/analysis:
“Buta Biberaj, (Loudon) county’s progressive, top elected prosecutor, who has close ties to the school board’s most liberal members, appeared in court to personally prosecute Smith for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Biberaj ran on a platform of ending ‘mass incarceration,’ but she wanted to put Smith in jail for the misdemeanors.” |
Rosiak wrote a series of articles about Imran Awan that contained many false allegations. See this article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/ex-congressional-it-staffer-set-to-be-sentenced-after-prosecutors-debunk-conspiracy-theories/2018/08/21/0b1006ee-a4b1-11e8-8fac-12e98c13528d_story.html "In releasing Imran Awan, 38, U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan read aloud passages of court filings in which federal prosecutors debunked allegations promulgated on right-leaning news sites and fanned by President Trump on Twitter that suggested Awan was a Pakistani operative who secretly compromised computer files with cover from House Democrats." While the false allegations appeared on many right-wing news sites, Rosiak was the original source. |
Assuming this quote is factual, yes (you don't provide a source). But, the discussion should not divert to discussing Smith's unsubstantiated allegation. To be clear, if the allegation is subsequently confirmed, then everyone is free to discuss it. |
Wow! Haha! Did you know your neighbor wrote false articles about somebody? |
What is that quote from? I find the recall petition concerning Biberaj to be bad faith and beyond the pale. But, you know, that's par for the course for people who call themselves "conservative" today. The completely irony of whining about Soros funding her campaign and then using dark money to underwrite a silly recall campaign. In any case, it makes perfect sense to prosecute Smith to see he was jailed. Smith needs to be made an example of -- the good people of Loudoun County are sick and tired of these outside agitators coming into our communities and carrying on at school board meetings in the way Smith did. It's like you think what happened on Jan. 6 was acceptable behavior for expressing your political views. It was not. Loudoun voted overwhelmingly for Biden. Jennifer Wexton has won multiple terms in office. This is a bright blue county. If and when conservatives can express themselves in a civil manner, we'd be happy to hear what they have to say. But so long as they carry on like lunatics with belligerent behavior at school board meetings over imaginary issues and engage in trying to recall duly elected officials simply because they don't like that they're of a different political party than their own -- no, we won't have that anymore. You can go crawl back under your rock. You are not empowered. |
Jeff used to surgically remove offensive posts. And leave the content. That is a better way. This is a really sad but important topic. Deleting it in its entirety seems very politically convenient. |
Also it is being reported by WTOP. Just saying. |
Unfortunately, in the case of these threads there was no way to surgically remove inappropriate posts. Again, why is nobody discussing the confirmed allegation? |
Why is this an "important topic?" Why is it any more significant than other assaults in schools? If you want to discuss assaults in schools, I'm all for it. But I don't think that's the motivation behind people demanding Smith's story be accepted as gospel. I think Jeff should lock this thread. |
I full heartedly believe transgender girls should be allowed to use the ladies room.
But I am horrified at the thought of a local school system trying to cover up a rape allegation. And the people trying to discredit the victim because it seemingly conflicts with their agenda. These discussions may be ugly but they need to be allowed. |
Well, we’ve posted that information here but you deleted it. |
If you believe that the school system is trying to cover up a rape allegation, then you must believe that the police and prosecutors are also trying to cover it up. What is more likely, that there is a fairly large conspiracy among Loudon County officials to engage in a cover-up or a father, his lawyer, and a partisan reporter with a history of false reporting are not telling the truth? |
It was included in thread primarily devoted to the other allegation. You have all kinds of time to post here but no ability to start a thread about a confirmed allegation? Forgive me if I am skeptical that concerns about sexual assault are your prime motivator. |
Fox News says they talked to the Sheriff's office and confirmed a May 28 incident.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/loudoun-county-parents-demand-superintendent-resign-over-alleged-sexual-assaults '"We can confirm a May 28, 2021 case that involved a thorough 2-month-long investigation that was conducted to determine the facts of the case prior to arrest," the sheriff’s office told Fox News. "This case is still pending court proceedings. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is not able to provide any documents that pertain to a pending case." The sheriff's office confirmed that the case involved sexual assault.' They were not able to get the office to confirm that it was the same individual. |
