I scan my 14 year old's instagram account and have noticed that a large percentage of her classmates list themsels as "taken" or in a relationship with another female. Out of 48 female classmates, 32 list themselves as bisexual. Is this a new fad or is it possible that this large percentage is legit?

A lot of them claim to be "married" to their best friends. It's not sexual.
As for listing themselves as bisexual I think that's simply a combination of sexuality being fluid for many (most?) people, and society being more open-minded about same sex relationships these days. |

No.

| Sex-ed is promoting this option. |
| New fad |
You can't be serious. The agenda of the LGBT lobby to recruit your kids is succeeding, OP. |
| So how do you explain 75% of 14 year old girls are bisexual |
| Interesting topic. I was just telling my husband this week our daughter has a surprising amount of gay or bisexual peers at her age. Ninth grade FWIW. |
Buy stock in the toaster manufacturers. |
| Is this a "trend" for teen guys as well? My son says there are many more guys in his senior class who are out than in previous classes at his school. |

+1 |
| ? Explain the toaster thing |

Please. The girls are joking. My very straight DD listed herself as being in a relationship with her best friend and from what I could tell it was a pretty common thing to so.
|
| It is the new and cool thing to do. My dd is in 8th grade and many of them think they are bisexual. I think they just think it is different and cool. Who cares? They will decide who to love and it is nice to have an open option instead of being closeted. |
