Is it now "in style/cool" for teen girls to be in romantic relationships with other girls?

No matter what Paul's beliefs were about homosexuality (or anything else), they (or any other religious beliefs) are not relevant to the civil laws against discrimination in the US.

Do you think that it would be ok to refuse to serve black people, if you owned a restaurant that was open to the public and your religion said that black people are accursed? Do you think that it would be ok to refuse to sell a woman a car, if you owned a car dealership that was open to the public and your religion said that women should not be allowed to drive? Do you think that it would be ok to refuse to open a bank account for a person in a wheelchair, if you were a bank official for a bank that was open to the public and your religion said that illness is a punishment from God and ill people must be shunned? Do you think that it would be ok to sell an old person a gym membership, if you owned a gym that was open to the public and your religion said that old people are ugly and you must only look at beautiful things?

Nice list of hypotheticals of religions that aren't real in America.

Actually not hypotheticals -- there used to be a belief among the Mormons that black people were accursed; there is certainly a belief among Wahhabi Muslims that women should not be allowed to drive; and there is a belief among Christian Scientists that illness is the result of faulty religious beliefs.

But even if they were hypotheticals, so what? Do you think that a person's religious beliefs should get to exempt them from anti-discrimination laws if the religious beliefs are Christian, but otherwise not? Christians shouldn't have to sell wedding cakes to a gay couple, but Wahhabi Muslims should have to sell cars to women?

You already said it. A witch hunt. Let's find a company that is religious. Ask them to make our wedding cake and sue them and show the world how awful they are. When in turn, it is the LG community who is being awful. If they want acceptance it has to be reciprocated. You can not force people to like or believe in you. You have to learn to look the other way.

On the other hand, the company could have avoided the whole trouble by just selling the customers the cake. Selling cakes to customers is what bakeries do. If they don't want to sell cakes to customers who are sinners, they're not going to be selling a lot of cakes.

I think this is a fad too. These self identified bisexual girls however are on lookout for boyfriends. LOL.

Not saying one is right and one is wrong but you are comparing apples to oranges here. People should not have to go against their beliefs to make someone a cake. I know the articles the PP is talking about and it is absurd. The fact that the LG community went after them like a witch hunt made it even worse. Why would you WANT someone religiously against gay marriage to make you a freaking cake for your wedding?

Are you talking about Jesus' teachings or the Book of Leviticus? Christians who selectively use passages in the Bible really should adhere to EVERY principle as well. I mean, if we're going with your black-and-white thinking. Are you wearing clothing of two different fabrics? Do you touch a woman when she is unclean (having her period)? Do you touch the skin of a pig?

Seriously- there are SO MANY ridiculous edicts in the Old Testament yet some people get totally fixated on homosexuality.

Do unto others? Love one another? Sermon on the Mount? Any of these ring a bell?

Please show me where JESUS said that homosexuality is a sin. That will give credence to CHRISTians casting the first stone at homosexuals. I shall wait for your reply.

Biblical scholars are not in agreement whether that Paul condemned all homosexuals or specific acts (i.e. Greek pederasts). Try again, please.

Oh, please. Biblical scholars like who, you?

No, I'm not a biblical scholar. However, I find it incredible that you would use a single passage in Romans to justify hatred and discrimination against homosexuals yet completely disregard the teachings of Jesus in the four gospels. Several books of the Old Testament condemn homosexuality- Leviticus in particular- yet people disregard many other laws and edicts from those same books.

Jesus NEVER condemned homosexuality. You don't need to be a biblical scholar to understand that point.

Hm, do you know how many man have issues with women and marriage? I would guess at least 50% or more. Some or other issues at some period of their life. Does it make them all gay?

First of all, it's not a single passage in Romans. And secondly, while yes it is Paul and not Jesus who condemned homosexuality, he (Paul) spoke more than Jesus did in general about the practical applications of living a Christian life in organized society. Yes, Jesus' message was to love all sinners, including homosexuals. But Paul spoke more about what God's law is to look like in our world, through laws, etc.
