Does anyone else watch? Wasn't there going to be a catfight between Bethenny and Kelly Bensimon?

I love this show. So bitchy!! Here are my thoughts so far. This Kelly person seems like a real bitch..I think she just seems completely into herself in a phoney way which I hate. The blond one (can't remember her name) also seems just plain mean but it's so out there it isn't as if she can try to hide it. Think her hubby is hot though. Jill seems pathetically insecure and also mean but I think deep down she is probably a nice person if that makes sense. Bethany could be so many of my single friends--she is pretty and smart but so aggressive that she is scaring every guy away. Alex and her hubby while annoying seem like they might actually be nicer than all the rest in person. They try so hard it just makes me feel for them and makes me want to tell them that the group they are trying to fit in with isn't worth it. The countess is a joke-sorry but her attempts as being etiquette queen are a joke. Finally--did you see the piece on them in People magazine--I think all of them except the blond chick are lying about their age. The countess says shes 43/ come on..maybe 53. Jill is no way 40? And Kelly is kidding herself if she thinks she can say she is 40--I am thinking 48 ish? This is a trainwreck but addictive!!!

I think they're just building up to it. I also think that Bethany is going to win that catfight pretty easily.

I couldn't get over the beauty of the Hamptons on last night's episode.

You want bitchy, check out the Real Housewives of Atlanta! The NYC folks are tame by comparison but I do find them interesting because they are the group I have the most in common with of all the Housewives shows. That's not saying much, though, because I can't really see living a lifestyle where I might seriously consider myself a "socialite."

Haven't seen the new season yet though so will be interesting after hearing y'all's comments.

I love Jill and Bethany - I think they are funny and don't take themselves so seriously. The "Countess" I don't get: I mean if she is really some type of royalty and is so ultra-sophisticated - why would she do something this tacky and revealing? Alex and her husband are freaks who think they are fabulous and they are making fools of themselves. The blonde is hysterical and crazy! Kelly - I have not quite figured out - she seems to be the only real "socialite" but she is obsessed with trying to be "famous" i guess......anyway, I love it! They are all so funny - it must be a blast editing a show like that!

Why is Bethenny considered a "housewife"? Is she even married? I think of a housewife as a woman taking care of the household which I assumed has a husband and kids...

I have to laugh when Ramona says Alex and Simon make her flesh crawl. She has a point, of course, but it's Ramona and her crazy eyes that really creep me out!

It's the best show on television. I'm a diehard ex-New Yorker, and I feel like I've known all these women at one point or another in my life.

I love Jill. Would love to have Bethany as a drinking buddy before I got married. Simon makes MY flesh crawl - yick! And I despise Kelly even though I don't know much about her. Maybe it's the fact that she keeps falling off horses.

On balance I like Jill but she is capable of doing some really mean things. I thought her calling Simon "In The NY Post" a drunk because he got loaded at one party was really really out of control. I actually wonder if that coud be considered libel because a comment like that could have cost him his job esp. since she admitted that it was the only time she had ever seen him drunk and most of the people at the party were also drunk. I thought the "you hit me first" comment was dumb and not even close to what she did.

Ramona has issues and she has Pelosi eyes.

Simon is gay. I say this because he constantly reassures everyone his behavior is not gay. That and he has to make sexual comments constantly about his wife. No man who is confident in his sexuality does this.

Jill and Bethenny, I like them. I think I could have fun with them.

Kelly the new girl -- very self-centered. She's really having a hard time squeezing into the group. Although I'm not really sure she is trying.

The Countess: A Piece Of Work! She thinks she's all that and more.

I think the NY bunch are my favorites. I've haven't watched that much of the Atlanta bunch, but I've heard they were pretty bad.

I agree that this group is the most "real" of all the Real Housewives editions. I have watched them all - O.C., Atlanta, and NYC. Atlanta was the worst - most of those women were soooo trashy. O.C. is a close second , though, and the fake boobs on that show kill me! Plus, latest season seemed so staged and planned out. I agree that on the NYC show, Bethenny is the best. Her comments are so funny. I also like Jill, but she can be mean. I love the Countess for her style and her hair, but she does seem a little snooty. I felt a little better about her on the last episode where she got mad at her husband for missing the daughter's horse event. It is definitely a guilty pleasure for me and I look forward to it every week!

Ramona was my least favorite, but this season I'm thinking she has the fewest issues of any of them. Bethenny is pretty funny though and calls a spade a spade. I'm still laughing about her "discountess" line.

Yeah, it was a chore to watch O.C. this season; I think I'm done with that. Atlanta was like a train wreck - couldn't look away. Still can't get over trashy Kim and her "singing" career!

Agree with all, though I secretly admire the Discountess for her confidence. It's absolutely amazing - nothing, absolutely nothing intimidates her or makes her forget how (self-) important she is!

I want her house!!!!!
