Agreed, I don't consider Jen to be a traditional Christian leader anymore. Now she is just an influencer with some occasional "big thoughts."

For the record, I'm not saying people of faith can't go on vacation. It's just weird to see Jen who emphatically said one thing years ago and is now seemingly promoting poverty tourism.

Oh, I don't think this is anything close to poverty tourism. I'm betting the 'thatched huts' are quaint souvenir shops, beachside bar and grills, etc. Cruises are about illusion, and won't go anywhere near the genuinely poor areas.

(Also, I chortled at the post earlier calling it a Golden Corral on water.)

Well her post today said she's preparing a sermon to preach on Sunday, at Austin New Church. Good grief. Who thought that was a good idea!? And how tacky is it that her post about preaching is filled with multiple curse words. Ugh. What a turn off.

I mean, faith based cruises are not a faith based thing. They are a money making, fleecing the flock endeavor. This seems like a great fit. Anyone else associated with them is of the same ilk and deserving of the same scrutiny.

I can’t reconcile how she is totally healed from her divorce, in a forever-relationship with Tyler, totally whole and writing about crying over her ex in her Christmas sermon.

I think she is doing this on purpose. She got a lot of (angry) engagement every time she flouted Covid precautions in 2020, and she is just baiting people to comment on her off-hand flu comment. She is not ready - emotionally, psycologically, spirtually - and now physically - to preach a sermon in 2 days.

yeah, posting about having the flu and preaching on sunday almost made me comment, but i didn't.

if she actually has the flu, she wouldn't be able to write a sermon, nor should she be at church on sunday passing along her germs. idiot!

i did think her post about twitch was the most decent thing she has posted all year. was going to comment about that, too, but couldn't figure out a way to do it without sounding critical of the rest of her years' posts.
