She just made a post about someone famous who committed suicide just now. I feel like hers is a better post than Tyler's the other day.

Well tWitch actually completed suicide whereas people did not know what happened with TC’s child beyond self harm. Also Jen’s post isn’t about how amazing she is to love tWitch even if they weren’t the same politically.

Anyway, I’m definitely feeling heavy hearted about tWitch and I only knew him from his first season of SYTYCD. As someone who’s been chronically suicidal since I was a child, I don’t know if I’m lucky or unlucky to live in a place where it’s damn hard to buy a gun.

RIP tWitch.

It has to be a joke.

You all fly down to Galveston and board a Carnival cruise line, basically the lowest cost option for cruise lines. You get into a cramped, damp cabin with an unpleasant odor. The boat is stuffed to the gills with constantly drunk partyers. The noise is unrelenting. You get hungry and go to one of the buffets. It's room temperature eggs and bacon and juice and bad coffee and mushy melon slices this side of going south. As you eat your breakfast you find the other Hatmaker Fan Girls and you all wonder when she's going to make an appearance. The pool is already stuffed with humanity. The poolside patio chairs and cabanas already all taken. The DJ starts to play club music and you feel a building tension headache already building behind your eyes. You wonder at this moment if you should have stayed in Oklahoma City or maybe taken a trip down to one of the Alabama beaches for a few days with your family instead.

You just summarized why I REFUSE to go on a cruise. I call it, Golden Corral on water. And you’re from OKC, so you get the reference!

I call it Walmart on water. All she’d have to do is include Ree zdrummond!

It's also a bit of a stretch to call it a Caribbean cruise - spending 2 days at sea and 1 day in Cozumel, Mexico. Technically, I guess since it's an island??!! There is a comparable cruise that stop a whole other day in a different Mexico location with a starting price of only $256/person. Hers is $1,500?

It looks like this is a faith based cruise company? They have other pastors and gospel themed. Surprised any faith based org would want her headlining anything.

Agreed, I don't consider Jen to be a traditional Christian leader anymore. Now she is just an influencer with some occasional "big thoughts."

From the website: "CARIBBEAN CULTURE: From thatched huts to the vibrant and colorful buildings that fill the Caribbean, come experience island living at its finest."

Whatever happened to the, "If it isn’t also true for a poor single Christian mom in Haiti, it isn’t true." - Are the cruise members going to talk to the people in the huts?

For the record, I'm not saying people of faith can't go on vacation. It's just weird to see Jen who emphatically said one thing years ago and is now seemingly promoting poverty tourism.

So you're shelling out an additional $1200 to see and maybe *gasp* meet Jen? (Rolls eyes) Who is going to be dumb enough to sign on for that?!

Jen is now basically an lifestyle influencer and self-help guru. If she mentions God or Jesus its in a flippant or off-hand way. She's all about milking her tribe for as much money as possible these days.

There's not as much money to be made in that line of thinking as there is in just dropping promo codes for Able, Wine, MeCamp, Book Club, god I'm missing so many aren't I...
