| anyone know what is going on with the place? Everyone has left including the lead person. |
| Dov Judd left? |
| Huh?? who is the lead person that you're talking about? |
I thought they moved across the parking lot to the Dynamite Agility Center? |
|
Dynamite is expanding and has increased their prices. Don't know how this affects Motion Education, but I know that some team parents are not happy at the extortionary tactics.
|
They moved there a year or two ago. But now I think Dov and the others are gone from there too. |
| anyone know where they went? Is it possible to follow them? I wonder who will run it? |
Who did you speak with OP? The ME website is still up. |
|
Motion Education is doing away with the regular gymnastics classes and moving into occupational therapy, where they can charge more and bill insurance. We were notified that our regular motion education (gymnastics) class in no longer available, unless we wanted to do it as OT at twice the cost.
|
| That's ridiculous! What about the kids getting liss for the gymnastics ? How do they justify that? So many kids were getting gymnastics not ot. I would like to find out whose in charge now. |
|
Some of it is probably due to how they are billing via LISS money. This year they changed Liss and it is very hard to get with the lottery. We got it for two years, denied with the July and gave up for the jan one. They charge a lot for just guys who enjoy it with no true training. A lot of the LISS families may have stopped as private pay is signifantly more than most places. At least one is starting a music program and also counting on liss. it makes sense to go to an ot or pt model but when we were there I was not impressed with either.
That is disappointing to hear they raised prices. |
Liss is the problem. Many of us who have had it a few years are not getting it as they changed liss. It's very expensive to private pay when you also have To pay for other therapies. |
So they're still in business just with a different model? Did Dov leave or did he finally finish his masters? |
| so Liss is what drove this? |
LISS was a huge funding stream for them. There are some private pay but they are extremely expensive for no degrees and just nice folks doing a good job. I suspect many fewer families got LISS and instead of adapting their fees, they changed the model to insurance based but then they need licensed providers which most of the old staff were not. It would be ashamed is DOv and some of the folks left as they were the core of the program and built it to what it is. We ended up leaving when our LISS ran out so I am just speculating that LISS is an issue. |
