| I think most of the original staff left. They really have no business saying they can support kids with special needs when the instructors are not qualified. I am fed up with this place as well. The owners don't seem to care about the kids just their money. Of course they are going to charge more, that's all they are thinking about. How to milk the families with special needs kids more . Give me a break. Really makes me mad. I feel for the poster who said they are no longer accommodating her kids going at the same time. Why? What is the reasoning. |
I'm that poster with two siblings who can no longer be seen at the same time. Honestly, the explanation does not make sense. Something to do with needing to be more organized with their schedules, so that the PT instructor starts with a new kid on the half-hour. (But no ability to apply common sense in the case of siblings.) Clearly not a decision by somebody who has hung out in their crowded waiting room on a Sat morning with SN kids. So, what weekend alternatives are there to Dynamite? Most likely I'll just opt for private swim lessons instead. |
| I think you should talk to the owner. Sometimes, these issues can be resolved by bringing to the attention of the person who is making the decisions. |
| Here is what I know. Zak, who we had been seeing for three years a Motion, left a while ago and started a new business called Groove. We left Motion when he left after a trying another aide that didn't work out too well. I didn't like the atmosphere there. He has been seeing my child for the last several weeks in a home studio, but he just moved to space in White Flint Plaza yesterday with Andrea(the therapist -physical I think). Zak has been doing a combination of drum lessons with movement exercises with my son. Its been amazing. My son is so happy going to see him and he is actually drumming along with Zak on guitar for part of the session. He charges what i was being charged at Motion for a one on one session. My son doesn't need therapy so i'm not familar with the billing being discussed. I highly recommend him. When i was there today Andrea was seeing another child. She's never treated my child, but is always so nice. |
| Is Dov no longer there? |
| If you are going there for therapy, speak to your therapist directly or via email rather than the scheduler.. My son goes to Dynamite one day a week for OT. He has OT 2 times a week somewhere else.. He loves his time at Dynamite so that is why we keep it. I did find that when I reached out to the therapist she was very responsive. I also think Dynamite is pretty unorganized and the office staff is a bit clueless. They have too many people/classes etc going on at one time with a limited front office staff. |
| We were with Motion Ed two yrs ago, and found the staff wonderful at the time. We are no longer involved due to the financial issues similar to what others on here expresed. The owner of Dynamite (if she is still involved with Motion Ed) was unprofessional and rude. We heard her speak loudly and firmly to the director of Motion Ed right in the middle of the waiting room filled with parents and students. I sense the relationship between her and the program might have contributed to some of the reorganization. But again, this was two years ago. I'm sorry to hear it is not accessible to the kids who would benefit from it : ( |
| We have liss for ME and they can't schedule us. Not sure what to do. Ridiculous and very very disorganized ! You'd think they would want the money? Very very unhappy. Love to know how they get away with it. |
| I'm liking the changes at Motion. I feel like now that Dov is not in charge, that it is much more organized. They also still have great therapists, and seem to have really expanded their OT. |
| I'm still having issues with my billing with Motion, so some of that chaos from Dov's reign has carried over. |
| I'm a PP earlier in this thread who complained that my two kids no longer had PT at the same exact time. Just a brief follow up to say that the problem has been resolved. |
| So, what happened to doc? He started that program so it would be really crappy to run him out. |
We gave up trying to get LISS with the changes but my understanding is you can change venders if you have a problem. |
Does anyone know where Dov went? |
I've heard that he is in Europe. Good for him, I say! Even if he was disorganized, I have to say his vision for Motion Education was brilliant. It has been an amazing thing for my kid. |
