| And he can't see why I'm mad at this. Said he had them as a kid and "what's the big deal". Nerf guns should be banned in general. |
| They're the funniest things ever for most boys. Girls may live them too but we just have boys. |
| Talk to each other. |
| It is a nerf gun. What is the problem again? |
| I am with your husband. I understand not glorifying the whole gun culture- but a nerf gun - really? What about a super soaker? How far are you prepared to your principled beliefs? |
| To make us feel better, we call them blasters, not guns. Try it. |
| Huh? Go take another xanax and writell back. |
| I hate them, too, but boys will turn anything into a gun anyway. I just tell them that any foam ammo I find on the floor goes in the trash. When they're gone, they're gone (until DH buys them a new case of ammo.) |
| Your husband is awesome. |

Nerf is fun!
(Mom of girl) |
+1 We have about 10 nerf guns around the house which always get used when DS has friends over. Playing with a nerf gun is not going to turn your son into a mass murderer. |
| They're awesome. I thought we'd never own them, but with two boys in the house (plus my husband), we now own about 8. My boys are 10 and 6. |
OK, I'll bite: Why? |
Seriously?
Nerf guns are fun, and I say that as someone who would never have a real gun in the house and does not allow my 11 yr old to play any videogame that involves shooting people (too realistic and desensitizing IMO). |
| OP what is the problem with nerf guns? |
