What is your stupidest fashion purchase?

That you regret till this day?

Mine without a doubt would be not one but two pairs of flats 1/2 too small because the store was out of my size and I thought that I would be able to stretch them. Obviously the shoes killed my feet and I was never able to wear them. 150$ not well spent.

Lululemon. I workout 10 or so hours a week and wanted to splurge on "good" tights and tops. Truth is Nike works much better for me. I tried their products 3 different times before I realized I was just stupidly wasting my money.

My wedding dress (Vera Wang, about 5k). To this day, I don't know what I was thinking...

3 out of 4 stuff from JCrew Outlet have issues.

For example, the button down shirts have flimsy button plackets (bands) that gets twisted after first wash. It has to be ironed after every wash. Also the buttons are too far apart and shows bra and more. So, I have to wear safety pin between the buttons.

Another disappointment was JCrew "Cities" ankle khaki pants. The pants are thin and shapeless after first wash. It's like they take cheap fabric and make it appear thicker by spraying on heavy starch that washes off and you end up with something that looks like pajamas.

Wear them with pants or long skirts.

Bought an entire "outfit" from a shop-at-home party (kind of a one off, a woman was starting a home based tailoring/custom design business) and spent way too much on what ended up being a stretchy, unflattering acrylic ensemble. It was the 90s and featured high waisted elastic waist capri yet flared pants, a boat neck pull over top and a matching stretchy tie belt. Awful. Just awful.

That's brilliant! I took mine to a cobbler, but the work wasn't that great. This would have been much better.

Any pants that have been cropped in any way bought for wintertime/cold weather.

Multiple straw hats that I love to buy for summertime but never remember to wear.
