Your were thinking you would be a pretty princess. We've all fallen for that one The next day...just a person again.

Not everyone falls for the wedding industrial complex.
I bought a blue Ann Taylor dress for my wedding.

The subject is stupidest fashion purchase (i.e., admitting mistakes).

Sounds like a mistake to me. Wearing a blue dress is just odd and Ann Taylor sells mostly frumpy clothes.

Shoes that are too small -- I will stretch them out!
Many things that are on sale -- you find out why they are on sale.

Any pants that have been cropped in any way bought for wintertime/cold weather.

Ha, yes. I got wool ankle pants that are useless, tho surely I should have anticipated before purchase that wool + cropped = stupid.

Also, any shoes that have heels over 2 inches (that aren't for a specific fancy event). I have like 10 random cute pairs I've bought thr the years, but I've always been a metro/subway commuter, and now a Mom, and I NEVER wear them, and I NEVER learn.

The beautiful Louboutin 5 inch platform heels I bought for my wedding because I was convinced pictures of me and my 6'4 husband would look better if we were closer in height. Two of my toenails turned black and blue on the honeymoon and fell off shortly thereafter. SO DUMB.

(No regrets on the dress though - worth every penny of the 3k I spent. Recouped 1500 of that when I sold it.)

Brown suede peep-toe pumps. I love them, but the suede contradicts the peep-toe, and vice-versa. I can't wear suede in warm weather, or peep-toe shoes in cold weather.

Stupid.

Tory Burch "Reva" flats. Luckily Nordstrom took them back though.

An expensive watch for DH for our wedding that he'll never wear.

Back seamed pantyhose, I'll never wear them and have no idea what I was thinking when I bought them.

A pair of black tights with slashes in the fabric up the sides that exposed the skin of my legs. Very cute but at least a decade too young for me.

Expensive Frye boots in size 11. Huge, clunky and sooo not cute!

Oh dear....I just ordered a pair of these second hand from Twice. Size 11, but then I have HUGE feet. I hope I'm not going to look like Frankenstein.

On the upside, you could consign your's there. Obviously, there's a market for them.

I have a bunch of clothes that don't fit quite right, but I bought because they were on sale and I thought I could make them work. Pants just a little too short, shoes that squish my pinky toe and ended up giving me blisters, shirts that hug my stomach just a little too much but without the structure to define my waist. I really need to stop thinking that I'm "saving" money if I never wear the item!

On the other hand, I absolutely loved my wedding dress and would absolutely spend the $2K on it if I had to do it all over again.
