dreading monday

I just had a generous two week break sfter obsessively stockpiling vacation days and now I have to go back to work. It's going to be overwhelming and I hate my job. Any tips for the transition back?

I always make sure I have things to look forward to that will ease me through the week.

iPod on the way to work - music makes me happy!
hot chocolate Tuesdays
lunch with a friend on Hump Days
matzoh ball soup Fridays

Meeeeeeee too! I have anxiety about going back to work after long breaks--like maybe I'll have forgotten how to do it all and be overwhelmed when I get back.

The anticipation is always worse than reality though.

I'm dreading dealing with my toxic coworker.

I'm a teacher. I know your pain, minus the 'hate my job' part. 20 impossible to please stakeholders, and their parents, plus homework, tests, observations, and formal reviews...le sigh.

PP- me too. The admin at my school started informal observations in mid December but they never got around to me. I know they will be in my room the first week back and will expect "rigor."
