I once put fake blood on my coworker's keyboard which he was about to throw out. He never figured it out and spent about fifteen minutes examining his fingers for the mysterious cut. |
VERY professional.

| Dreading it beyond words. Everyone back and all buckling down again, status meetings. I have an all-hands meeting on Tuesday -- 4 hours! Boss is going to be asking for status updates on everything. How can I last another year of this? UGHHHHH |
| Totally dreading it. Especially since my two week break sucked and I found out my DH had been cheating on me. |
I'm sorry. |
| I just set my alarm clock and started crying |
| I can't believe all you people are complaining when there are millions in this country who would kill to have your job and the dignity you get from working in that job. |
Killjoy. Let people gripe. There are also millions of people living off of family wealth, ill gotten gains, or dumb luck. Bet they don't feel for our workday woes. |
Happy Monday everyone!!!
(trying to cheer myself up...) Made some bacon and coffee and think about how happy I will be when it's time to come home! Have a good one! |
| *thinking |
Same here. I hate my job and I hate Mondays. DH and I got up a bit early this morning for a quickie and it put me in a much better mood
Try to find something you can look forward to today like the iPod mix/hot chocolate poster suggested. |
And guess what? 2 year in, after they too have succumbed to the soul sucking, mundane routine of 9-5 cubicle land too, they would start complaining. If not earlier. Of course we are all grateful to have a job. Doesn't mean that we also can't hate our jobs. No one likes working. No one. |
On other threads on dcum people will post that they want to keep working because they like their job. Who are these people and where do they work? what is their secret? I frequently ask who has a job they like, and don't get too many posters. I know among friends, the people that like their jobs either own a small business or are teachers, all the professionals really hate their job and would quit if they could. There is nothing rewarding about sitting in a cubicle with no windows doing paperwork that is meaningless and driven by corporate leaders enthralled by the latest management fad like currently Six Sigma. |
| It is a sign that it may be time to find a new job. |
