Just checked with a contact at the ECNL admin office (not a higher up) but they said they have not heard us soccer decision from the 22nd.

Based on common sense I would suggest that no decision was actually made on Friday. I think it went like this. Teams of info was sent out as a pre read for the board meeting. The actual meeting was for debate and for questions to be asked. There might be another two or three special/interim committee meetings prior to a final decision that can be communicated. I still believe it will be 24/25 and a 7/31 or 8/1 date and it will be officially announced before the first of the year. My only question is if it will be all age groups or if there will be any grandfather clauses. And if they will mandate or leave to each league discretion like they did with AYSO back in 2016.

ECNL already said they can do on their own

Our coach top league just told players switch club is not a solution after half season. Something definitely is happening

This is not English but anything a coach says is uninformed. If any coach knew what was going on we would know.

This change may not be to 2026. You do not need to know. We do not even know if they made a decision.

If ECNL is ready to make the change, they should do it immediately. The start-first advantage will give ECNL a further advantage against GA.

They are not ready. At all.

You are not ready. Ecnl is.

If you say that you have no idea what has to be done. There is six months of work after a decision. Could that still mean 2025 -- yes but I doubt it.

Spoke with a GA/MLSN club director he said everyone he spoke with thought this would be approved. But he has not heard anything official from any of the governing bodies. Will let me know when they get an official statement.

Why would anyone care about trolls? 95% of people this impacts have no idea it's even being discussed.

This is not true. Younger daughter played a tournament this past weekend and literally everyone on every team was talking about. Then between games we went to catch some boys ECNL matches from our same club, everyone there was talking about it too. Watching teams and asking "which one of these are 9th graders.....".
