Not a good weekend for this. Match Fit ducked an ECNL game against PDA. Seems that it’s on purpose or stupidity. Both are unacceptable and heads should roll or charters should be pulled.

McLean canceled the 06 and 03/04 games today against VDA just before the 11:00 game, apparently because McLean said the field had been double-booked for a State Cup game. Some are wanting that to be a forfeit by McLean, which it should be. McLean mismanaged their fields, required their opponents to travel to their fields before realizing the mistake, then canceled. McLean should be held accountable - forfeit and lose the points. Moreover, both McLean and VDA play opponents tomorrow, making them each fresh whereas their opponents will have played an extra game. If the kids want to play at a re-scheduled date, it should be as a friendly match, not an ECNL match.

Here-here to the unfair advantage, the game has been canceled. Someone must have complained.

If the ECNL starts becoming an easily manipulated league then it’s on the downfall and will soon be over.

Not sure the issue here. Clubs get to schedule the games when they want in ECNL. For a number of reasons some age groups might not play on a day where others play. It is not a rules violation. For the person saying there are no open dates, ECNL games go outttttt into next February.

With the forfeits, I think McLean is second to last overall as a Virginia club in ECNL. The only other club that is worse is BRYC. What’s happening over there?

Red flag is when the visiting club shows up at the field and time instructed and the hosting club not only doesn’t play but cause the visiting club to miss games the following day.

McLean does not even own the fields they play on. They are run by the county.

The whole field management issue in FFX post Covid has been ridiculous.
