Chrissy Teigen really loves attention

I agree and her apology doesn’t do enough to address the damage she inflicted on others - it was too self-centered on how she felt or would feel when apologizing.

Agreed. But also not surprised. She only cares about herself.

The letter is revolting in the focus on her fans. (Lord help us that she has a fandom.) That is where the focus is, kissing the asses of the faceless horde who eagerly praise her and insert inane emojis at every inane thing she ever thought to type. That’s what her uh revised Guys I Am So Sorry! is for and actually about. She needs that audience to convince people besides her spouse to invest in her toxic, acidic “brand.”

Instead of just writing another apology where people could comment about how fake she is. People don’t actually care about a handwritten apology. It’s just words and meaningless.

She didn't even wait weeks, I swear I saw her coattailing her husband on some late night show a week or so ago? I can't remember when, we were just channel surfing before bed.

Wow. I was neutral on her before all of this, but this is just the nail on the coffin.

I don't think she or Yashar have fans. Their popularity is fake or inorganic; astroturfing using other verified and influencers to signal boost. And bots and probably other sketchy crap behind the scenes at twitter.

I’m surprised she was this mean and that sucks. I think less of her for it. She caught my attention on twitter for her witty comebacks of people criticizing her and for the fact that she told her fans not to pile in attacking people on her behalf. I thought that was kind. But it seems like she is not kind.

Don’t care that much about this but I am obsessed with Bo Burnham right now and we are going to need to find a way to forgive YOUNG PEOPLE (not necessarily Teigen) for saying dumb stuff on the internet 10 years ago. People are growing up online now saying things that 10 years from now will be a problem, and we need to be understanding of what a wilder Wild West it was 10 years ago. Not with Teigen, necessarily, who was 25 or so should have known better.

The bolded parts. Should one of the PPs become famous they will have a lot of their own apologizing to do for saying awful things about people online.

Most people don't have to worry about these disgusting skeletons in their closet. Chrissy's behavior is so out of the realm of normal which is why she's getting the backlash. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated by anyone.

Telling multiple people over DMs to kill themselves or they deserve to die is scary behavior. That’s far worse than participating in gossip or even teasing.

I have been a complete asshole on the internet which I had as young as my teen years and it never occurred to me to tell someone to kill themselves. Posters trying to normalize this is sick.

I’ve watched most of every Project Runway and Costello is kooky but he appears to have evidence. Honestly, Teigen is done, and it ain’t like she didn’t earn it. I agree that laughing at the idea of people offing themselves, encouraging suicide and so forth is targeted, abusive harassment that is of an entirely different nature than people making fun of Chrissy’s swollen face. Insane to pretend otherwise.

I don’t think she can come back from this. And she shouldn’t. She is toxic.
