The Official Jill Biden Style and Fashion Thread

Yikes! She always looks so sloppy but next to the Queen it's a million times worse.

Jill needs a stylist to dress her like the first lady of France. She is thin enough. No midi skirts. No tacky prints. But the one length hair is more important than the outfit.

You can be appropriate and approachable and still look modern. Age has nothing to do with it.

But it isn’t her style.

What's not her style? She has no style, that's the whole point.

Why would she want me o dress like the First Lady of France when her husband is running for office in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Colorado and florida? The goal is for her to look like your mom or grandma on their best day. And, failing that, that she look authentic and comfortable in her own skin.

She’s an aged flower child—let her wear florals! I love florals and they are a great grandma look. I don’t love that red suit on her — there’s something off about the cut or fabric that makes it not particularly flattering—but it’s generally fine. I think she’d look better with a different haircut but my guess is Joe likes it this way. Men often like their wives to have the same hair they did when they met—many men are simple that way on the visuals.

For myself, I want letizia’s clothes.

Right! Also the Queen of Spain is 20 years younger than her.

Here are the NATO spouses - I'm not seeing a lot of fashion plates here.

What stands out to me is her dress is linen and looks wrinkled. A v neck would make her look taller. Agree her hair needs a major change up. She should not wear shoes that have an ankle strap. non ankle strap heels would make her look taller. The pattern is too busy.

Brigitte Macron, Amelie Derbaudrenghein, Carrie Johnson...plenty of the partners of the G7 leaders present themselves nicely. Jill does a good job of looking appropriate without being too flashy. Oscar de la Renta sheaths and tea-length dresses are her jam and that's fine. We just have to realize that we'll never have 500+ page threads about first lady fashion again. That's okay!

She's fine. Looks like my kids' teacher and I think that is a vibe she's going for/what she automatically does.
It's fun when first ladies are into fashion, but doesn't seem to be Biden's focus.

She's been successful in connecting with leaders and spouses, as evidenced by her interaction with Olena Zelenska.

The shoes look terrible with that dress.

The Spanish president's wife is gorgeous. Their queen too. Must be in the water.

Who is wearing the white pantsuit in the picture above? She looks good although not sure why her pants are dragging on her shoes that way.
I’m also cracking up at the spouse wearing sneakers and tunic top over casual pants. She looks like my mom going to a doctors appointment but I am 100% supporting her refusal to gussy herself up and put on hose or uncomfortable shoes.
