I don't like the idea of standing at the stove making breakfast for that long, while the other parents don't offer to help, but that is just me. It's my vacation.

OP, it seems the other parents are angling to make you the bad guy for not wanting to "serve them", this is a terrible dynamic that you have set up by not speaking up.

Don't vacation with people who can't take care of their own kids.

If you are close enough to be vacationing together, you should be hospitable. If there was a kid who was my good friend’s friend or family member, I would treat them well as I would my good friend.

I would not travel or stay with people I was not close with.

Op has said multiple times that it isn’t about money. She doesn’t want to cook for 15 people and prepare a brunch. Making a little extra has to be cooking for everyone. She is also unwilling to share her cereal because she has to ration the cereal for her stay and cannot go to the grocery store. They decided to cook and share dinner so Op doesn’t want to share her food with the other kids for breakfast and lunch. Again, it is not about money.

A childlike refusal to pack an extra box of cereal, or pack of pancake mix, or carton of eggs, or packet of bacon (all small things), is not excusable for any reason. It's just stupid, regardless of whether it's about money or anything else.

A childlike desire to have another adult responsible for feeding and budgeting for your kids is pretty disgusting as well.

Doesn't sound like they desire to have her be responsible for their kids, but they do expect her not to be a weird miser and food hoarder.

Again, why are you so desperate to deflect attention from OP? Is this just a power struggle?

Pp here. I just don’t know anyone like this in real life. We are wealthy now (7 figure HHI) but I used to be a poor grad student, then young professional, etc. some people would organize and split everything back when we didn’t have kids. It wasn’t like every person would run to the store. When we vacationed with families, we didn’t know anyone who didn’t contribute. Now most of our families are rich. One person often owns the home AND feeds everyone. I am happy to cook breakfast for rich friends, struggling friends and people who I may not know but are friends of my friends.

They are all guests, as they are all staying at a rental facility. Just like someone staying at a hotel is a "Guest". is English not your first language?
