I would hope this is meant to be ironic, but if you’re as smart as most Bullis students and their families, I’m doubting it.

Of course it’s ironic. i learned irony, spelling and typography, among other things at Bullis. I also learned how to be polite and gracious. Something your school clearly failed to teach.

Good one!

I guess I'll just leave this by saying that I found Bullis when I was in a difficult place academically and in dealing with significant ADHD. It gave me the foundation in study skills and knowledge to make it through college and a top law school and I'm now a partner at a major law firm. Say what you will about it, you won't convince me or any of Bulliis's many other success stories that the school is anything less than what we believe it to be. I'm sorry that you don't have enough confidence in the schools you support to avoid tearing down others.

That's a great success story. Obviously, you didn't attend under the current HOS. It's truly a shame what happened at Bullis. It had the potential to be just what you describe.

I happen to know some current college kids who are thriving.

I’m sure there are. Kids from all kinds of schools are thriving in college. But I think you missed my point or maybe I wasn’t clear. The school you attended is quite different from what Bullis has become under the current leadership. And not for the better.

And thank goodness the current leadership is changing!

I don’t understand why this topic is continually revived. With so many stellar private schools in the area, just avoid schools with profiles like this unless they offer something that outweighs the concerns for you. And let the pettiness go.

Unfortunately, yes. Recruits are being told to apply now because things will be changing and that they can get in now under this leadership. Many did that and have been admitted this summer.

recruits were being told to apply before the current leadership, they will be told to apply after the current leadership, and a recruit will be told to apply to any school he/she is recruited to.

Please. Are we supposed to rejoice that Bullis meets the minimum expectations of a high school? That's not enough for me at that pricepoint. I can tell you that my DD was significantly behind on content in math and foreign language coming into a W high school after transferring from Bullis.

Do they give out need based aid or do they use some other formula? What is the average aid package?
