Bullis concerns

Wow, so much denial from the Bullis community. How many times have we heard cases where the woman was vilified because she didn't report right away? Here, we have a case where the woman reported and she is still getting vilified.

No win situation.

I’m part of the Bullis community and I believe he should be fired. The comments defending him could be from one person. The families I associate with are not going to defend such a person, so please don’t think one persons defense represents our entire community.

That’s not assault.
You’re a twit. Decent people don’t shove their wives down the stairs, especially in front of their 3 year old child. Just trash does that.

Court records say Cilento and his wife got into an argument Sunday. The wife tried to console their 3-year-old daughter, when she felt a “sharp shoulder|elbow shove,” the records say.

She was pushed down concrete stairs, and she suffered a scrape on her right elbow, soreness on her rib cage and a bruise on her left knee, the court records say.

“The three year old then asked, ‘Is Mommy OK?’ and said, ‘Daddy hurt Mommy,’” according to the report.

Cilento then left taking the couple’s 6-year-old with him, the records say.

A second-degree assault conviction carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail and a fine of $2,500.

She fell not holding the daughter and she filed the report not officers, so this is only her perspective. Every story has 2 sides. What if he was holding the daughter and she was going after him. Maybe he nudged her with his shoulder to keep her back and protect his child. Just saying maybe before we judge we should get the full story and let all the information come out.
BS. She was assaulted and unfortunately has a witness. This isn’t the 80’s anymore where you can do the ‘he said she said’ thing.
What gross behavior.

Wut?

If being elbowed is an assault I’ve been assaulted at every concert and redskins game.

This is all about context. I’m sure in some context elbowing could be considered assault.

Imagine the context of when you would call the cops because somebody elbowed you.

When someone elbowed me down a flight of stairs, for instance.

Well this situation was not down a flight of stairs.

That anyone in the Bullis community is defending these actions is just another example of how the school views athletics over character. I am honestly embarrassed I ever sent my child there.

I am so with you! Glad that my child only spend a year there. Seems many parents are feeling this way now too. He keeps in touch with some friends and atleast 12 kids are not returning to 10th grade next year. Transferring to other privates or going to public. Many other kids are leaving the middle school. The bad behaviors at the top is trickling down to the students.............

It’s everywhere. My son is a Landon graduate and had that awful misogynistic lax coach that all held so dear. If the Bullis coach is guilty then he should be dismissed.

You are being too cute by half. Learn the basic definitions:

Assault is to be placed in imminent fear (no touching required). Battery, which is the alleged "elbowing" here, is an unlawful touching. You can be assaulted without being touched and you can be battered without being assaulted.

Hey the headmaster is famous for producing Dwayne Haskins, that is all that really matters.

He is done

Should be. He is not a role model for students/athletes.
