Another parent who knows nothing about lacrosse. SSSAS has a good team this year. Landon has a much weaker team than last year, but they were not "lucky" to beat them in the regular season.

The best two IAC teams will play in the championship game, which is great. Bullis has a stacked team this year.

SSSAS beat Landon yesterday with their full compliment of players with Buller back. They led 7-2 at the half and while Landon made a run in the 3rd quarter they only got within one. SSSAS pulled away in the 4th. The regular season game between the two sans Buller had several lead changes. IAC ship should be good. Aside from Gonzaga SSSAS has held Bullis to its fewest goals this season...

Congrats to SSSAS and Bullis for making the championship game. Good for the league to have more strong programs.

More strong programs?

Well' I'd certainly agree that parity has arrived. In fact, the old order has been pretty much turned upside down.

But it's not completely clear what has occurred.

SSAA and Bullis have gotten better. But have Prep and Landon gotten worse? Prep got beat by 10 goals in thir first gme against Bullis and then scored only 3 goals in the last one. That's indicative of a talent-starved team regardless of where everyone has "signed".

I think a little of both has happened. It's very unlikely that SSSA and Bullis are now that much better.

Will there be as much external interest in a conference without a big dog?

Landon - down year and they return a lot of kids next year. But they were pretty off this year, so a better Landon team next year means the returning players improve. It is a good point that where these kids indicated they are heading to college means nothing. Several very average players "committed" these days.

Prep - that looks more like a decline than a down year. They just weren't competitive against stronger competition.

Prep was bad this year. Their best player was hurt for most of the season this Spring so that can really decimate a team and its chemistry.

Landon apparently returns 90% of their roster for next Spring. Only two of their starters this season were seniors. Their youth and inexperienced showed yesterday when the pressure was on the line. I would imagine they will be very strong in 2017.

Its safe to say the # of little kids who have "committed these days means very little. The majority of committed kids these days are committed during the summer and Fall ball.

Heck if you play very good in one meaningless summer lacrosse game, and a college coach happens to be present, your club coach will do anything to hype up little Johnny to get one of his kids committed.

It's very unlikely that SSSA and Bullis are now that much better? Set aside Landon and Prep for the moment. Every primary lacrosse ranking site (Insidelacrosse.com, laxmagazine.com, recruitingrundown.com) has Bullis anywhere from 3rd to 1st in the country with the other 2 teams being Victor (NY) and McDonogh which they beat during this season. SSSAS similarly is ranked in the top 20 in the country (insidelacrosse) and top 10 in private schools in the country (recruitingrundown). Bullis only has 3 players ranked (InsideLacrosse/RecruitingRundown) compared to 6 from Landon. Prep has 3 players ranked and SSSAS has only one player ranked. I don't know - I would say that both Bullis and SSSAS, Bullis more so, are that much better... I agree that Landon will be very strong next year but a great deal of those players were starters from last year if I'm not mistaken or at least starters on the other teams from which they transferred, so I'm not convinced it was lack of experience. Not really sure what to say about Prep - 180 degrees from last year but they graduated a ton of Seniors right?

Prep will be worst next year.

Go Bullis! Today is the day we've been dreaming about for years.

Pretty sad on Bullis administration not to move the game today to Monday or Tuesday. In the past other IAC schools have accommodated this request. I guess Bullis operates under a different set of rules.

Saint Stephens will be playing their 3rd game in 3 days since they also compete in the VISSA.

Not a Bullis parent but your comment is pathetic. SSSA chooses to play in 2 groups. SSSA needs to live with that schedule. Rude to even ask other schools to accommodate a move just to suit your schedule.
No idea who won so if SSSA did - congrats. If not deal with it, but next time don't try to set up the excuse ahead of time by blaming the competitor school that SSSA kids are tired from too many games in a row .

You are as stupid as you are ignorant. Bullis cannot play on Mon or Tue as their seniors are away on Senior Trips (and some are leaving tonight). The game was scheduled for Sat, and then moved to accomodate SSSAS who played in the VISAA game yesterday.

EHS and SSSAS have always had to juggle competing for the IAC and the VISAA. This is nothing new. Bullis seniors are gone all week, so moving it to a weekday was not possible.

Get over yourself.

Also, many of these kids play club, so playing 3 game is three days, although not ideal, is not a big deal.
