More strong programs? Well' I'd certainly agree that parity has arrived. In fact, the old order has been pretty much turned upside down. But it's not completely clear what has occurred. SSAA and Bullis have gotten better. But have Prep and Landon gotten worse? Prep got beat by 10 goals in thir first gme against Bullis and then scored only 3 goals in the last one. That's indicative of a talent-starved team regardless of where everyone has "signed". I think a little of both has happened. It's very unlikely that SSSA and Bullis are now that much better. Will there be as much external interest in a conference without a big dog?
It's very unlikely that SSSA and Bullis are now that much better? Set aside Landon and Prep for the moment. Every primary lacrosse ranking site (Insidelacrosse.com, laxmagazine.com, recruitingrundown.com) has Bullis anywhere from 3rd to 1st in the country with the other 2 teams being Victor (NY) and McDonogh which they beat during this season. SSSAS similarly is ranked in the top 20 in the country (insidelacrosse) and top 10 in private schools in the country (recruitingrundown). Bullis only has 3 players ranked (InsideLacrosse/RecruitingRundown) compared to 6 from Landon. Prep has 3 players ranked and SSSAS has only one player ranked. I don't know - I would say that both Bullis and SSSAS, Bullis more so, are that much better... I agree that Landon will be very strong next year but a great deal of those players were starters from last year if I'm not mistaken or at least starters on the other teams from which they transferred, so I'm not convinced it was lack of experience. Not really sure what to say about Prep - 180 degrees from last year but they graduated a ton of Seniors right?
