It’s never one decision, it’s the series of decisions over time that have proven to bring the club to where it is now.

IMO, Aspire has always been a part of the plan to ‘expand’ but GA made it their solution to allow STJ to maintain their membership with GA as a whole. In short, show us you can be successful in Aspire over the next 2-3 years and we will bring you back.

Because SYC starts their ID sessions in Dec to try and get ahead of the crowd.

Don’t blame SYC for anything related to STJ.

Also, whoever claimed that the conference wanted to delay tryouts is simply wrong. GA does not have mandated ID timelines like ECNL does. That information is being misrepresented.

If there’s blame to be placed, it belongs with Adam. Poor leadership decisions—letting strong people go and hiring unqualified replacements—have been ongoing for the past six years. This situation didn’t happen overnight. The move to Aspire is the result of years of bad decisions finally catching up.

Yes, Adam needs to go. His public social media activity—particularly his strong political MAGA commentary—has been divisive and inappropriate for someone in his role.
More importantly, STJ leadership needs to be made aware of how poorly things have deteriorated under his tenure. From the outside, it appears leadership is either unaware of or disconnected from how much damage has been done since he took over. The organization has been steadily declining, and the warning signs have been visible for quite some time.

As an outsider, I communicated with Adam regarding attending a clinic. Then out of the blue, he simply stopped communicating. A few follow up e-mails and no reply’s from him. Very off putting.

This is normal behavior. Ask anybody who has a kid for one of his current teams how "well" he communicates. You should be able to sue for this type of con job.

should ask him about that one time during a boys tournament he showed up late. He was hung over and had been to a strip club club all
night with his assistant coach.(True story).. or how he got forced out as Varsity coach at freedom HS for his poor treatment of players.. how hes still in youth soccer is just crazy.

If he didn’t have this job, would anyone in the region hire him to coach? Too much baggage. Frankly I’m surprised that coaches familiar with his behavior and his reputation would accept to work for him. Shocked that 22 would align himself with this situation.

They are known to pay more than others to sway coaches there.

There’s a real sense that something special is being built here. The standards are high. The vision is clear. And for our daughters, the pathway feels real.
As a parent in the DC soccer community, this feels like the future of girls soccer in our area and it’s exciting to see it taking shape right in front of us.
Proud to be part of this new chapter.
