So NoVa residents should vote against their own interests?? |
Oh, but we absolutely do. Under the current system, sane minded people in those little rural dots of blue are finding themselves outnumbered by MAGA loons. Those folks deserve the chance to have better representation, and now they will have it. |
+1 TX did this because Trump pushed them to. Remember, Abbott at first didn't want to do this. VA and CA responded in kind. Everything Trump touches dies. |

Hey peeps, you must have missed this P 28 15:32
Trump said "it's ok" REPORTER: On Texas, how many more seats do you want the Republicans to draw? TRUMP: Five. REPORTER: And then what if California, New York, Illinois, and other blue states decide to do this? TRUMP: Yes. Well, that’s okay, too, but five. I think we get five, and there could be some other states. We’re going to get another three or four or five in addition. Texas would be the biggest one, and that’ll be five. REPORTER: So, are you calling for a complete redrawing of the Congressional map ahead of next year? TRUMP: No, just a very simple redrawing. We pick up five seats. |
| I think the MAGAs in this thread are genuinely confused because they have goldfish memories and they don't understand all this Democrat talk about events that allegedly happened in 2025 |

But it was ok to erase some Dem votes? GTFOH. |
Let me tell you what Trump taught me: You have to care about yourself first. And at any cost. So, yeah, no. I have voted for policies for decades that benefit my fellow citizens only to watch people vote against their own interests and negatively affect my own. So no. "Other citizens" was not a consideration in my Yes vote. Anymore than the Texas Legislature cared about their Dem constituents. And I'm not sorry about it. |

Supreme Court of Virginia stomps this dead by mid-May in a 6-1 or even 7-0 decision. They're moving fast now and skipping a lower court. This referendum violates Virginia's Constitution in multiple ways. |
So much copium |
Not when it was taken to the citizens for a referendum vote. It wasn't like what texas did. |
