None but they keep saying it’s about saving women’s life with abortion. An ectopic pregnancy is not the same as abortion at will for no good reason at 5 months pregnant |
That's not what this map shows at all. And you're being entirely dishonest why abortions happen in the third trimester. And that's why the GOP is purposely hiding from this issue. Was it even brought up during the RNC? https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/us/abortion-laws-roe-v-wade.html |
I mean, she is saying more than that. Listen to the latest speech. But if you don't pay attention to what she says, then if you just argue that you don't like what you're hearing, you're not arguing in good faith. |
Answer my question. In which state is abortion illegal when the life of the mother is at risk? Anecdotes don't count. |
My life wasn’t at risk- I had an ovarian cyst with torsion and my ability to reproduce was at risk, not to mention injury from internal bleeding if it ruptured. But it was still risk to the baby to remove it and the doctors told me this in the hospital. I don’t want to live in a country where the doctor is trying to balance her legal liability in treating the patient versus potentially harming the fetus. The clock was ticking and there was no time for that. That was a decision that I, the patient and mother needed to make, NOT THE GOVERNMENT. |
Doctors hesitate to perform them because of the legal consequences. But you know that. You're making a bad faith argument. |
There are a number of states right now where abortion is functionally illegal when the life of the mother is at risk. You think that's okay because maybe the doctors, if they're brave, might move more or less quickly, maybe. Or, if the mother is able to travel to another state and get medical care and does not die, then the doctors in the first state were right not to treat her because her life was not lost. Are you a doctor? |
I suddenly feel…. Unafraid. For the first time in a long time. |
Letting her get to the point that her life is at imminent risk is a dangerous game. Republicans have shown over and over that they can’t make rational abortion policy. They pass bans with window dressing exceptions, which leaves lawyers for the doctors and hospitals in charge of making medical decisions. |
I turn the tv off when I hear her. If she talks about the economy it’s certainly further down the road when it should be the first thing she talks about . That’s what people want to hear. Americans aren’t hearing anything new when Dems rant about how bad Trump is. We know the guy doesn’t follow rules and has no scruples . He even says it . This is not new information. Why doesn’t Kamala tell of more about who she is instead of who Donald is? |
Your question is a stupid one. The smart question is “where do state laws on abortion put the mother at risk” and you don’t seem clever enough to ask it. |
Did you vote in the primary? |
Not to mention this type of emergency care not even being available because doctors have fled these backwards states. |
Your answer to “I don’t hear Kamala Harris on ______” is that you literally refuse to listen to Kamala Harris. Honey the problem is between user and keyboard. |
We’re still perilously close to autocracy so some fear is still healthy. |
