I think Blair families knew there would not be an appointment this cycle. They have been informed that there will be an interim principal who I'm pretty sure retired just this year. As for why it is taking this long, other posters have pointed out that it is a fairly demanding position, but the wide variety of openings right now meant that at least one of the candidates pulled out because they learned something closer to home was coming open.

She is awesome. I know several teachers who’ve worked with her who speak so highly of her. She was out this past year on sabbatical for professional development, but was at Montgomery Knolls for maybe 7 years prior to that?

It’s actually really common. Mostly men in PE and nationally men are more likely to be admin than women despite to profession being dominated by women.
