Crossfield sucks. Very little diversity. Enjoy your bubble!

I love how Navy claims diversity just because it has wealthy Asian families. Neither school has any socioeconomic diversity whatsoever. Crossfield is about 30% Asian to Navy’s 60%.

Different people means diversity.

Unless you somehow think white people and Asian people are same.

+1 Crossfield has mostly white kids.

As do many other FCPS schools. Shall we begin bashing them, too. Oh, Oak Hill, you suck! Poplar Heights, you are the worst. F*ck you, Oakton and Waples Mill!!

This isn’t about other schools. Someone said they chose Crossfield AAP over Navy AAP. That’s fine if they want to stay with all the white kids. We love the diversity of Navy.

Of course only *high ses Asian* diversity. Not actual diversity. Give it a rest with the "diversity", tiger mom. You're not fooling anyone.

You're not fooling anyone that there is no diversity in Asians.

Indians, Koreans, and Chinese aren't the same.

That is actual diversity.

British, French, Spanish, Dutch are not the same. Does it count as diversity of if there are a bunch of Europeans?

Not according to her..

Navy parent here. My child is not in AAP but when volunteering at a grade wide event I noticed that at least one of the AAP classes in their grade did not have a single white kid. It was literally all Asians. Maybe the one white kid was absent that day. I can see why Crossfield parents might hesitate to send their kids to Navy for AAP. I wouldn’t want my child to be literally the only kid of a particular race or ethnicity in their class if I could help it, and it seems like that can happen in Navy AAP. Not sure why there isn’t more of a mix, but it’s noticeable in my child’s grade. I like the diversity in PBL at Navy.

I feel the complete opposite. I don’t mind if my child is the only white kid in a class.

Wow, the anti Asian racism is strong at Navy.

I don't care either, however, AAP has little diversity.

+1 and Navy has that, unlike Crossfield. I’d rather my kids go to a diverse school.

Your little snowflakes are in for a rude awakening when they get to Oakton. And they WILL go to Oakton. There's very little chance your baby is going to TJ like you hope and wish for.

Lol. Oakton is known for rich kids. It’s not the “rude” awakening you think it is.

You know we're talking about race here, right? Oakton is not majority Asian like Navy. Read.

Well um yeah so that's what I was saying. You value Asian diversity but not other kinds. You just validated my point and I never said they were the same, you just made that assumption. Just like all people from Europe, South America, and Africa are not the same, obviously Asia has a wide range of cultures and people. However, there is also diversity in economic status, genders, and neurotypical people. I'm not arguing in favor or against anything, I'm just calling you out because your bragging of diversity at navy is disingenuous and it hardly means navy is superior to crossfield.

Obviously I’m referring to race or ethnic background for diversity. That is primarily what one thinks of when talking about “diversity.” Socioeconomic status does not count. Nobody can tell how much money someone has simply by looking at them. No one can visually see whether a school is “socioeconomically” diverse. I can see with my own eyes that Crossfield is less diverse than Navy.

WOW. You SHOULD care about socioeconomic diversity. What a snoot.

Highlighting this earlier post that you are ignoring:

Crossfield isn't all white, as much as you'd like to pretend it is. It has over 40% non-white population. Just because it's not Asian enough for you, does not mean it's not diverse. Anyone can look up school demographics here: .

PP's definition of diversity is people of various Asian ethnicities who pick up their kids from school in Range Rovers, Mercedes, Tesla, etc and live in 1mil+ houses.

Fake news. Oakton is 43 percent white. https://schoolprofiles.fcps.edu/schlprfl/f?p=108:13:::NO:0_CURRENT_SCHOOL_ID,P0_EDSL:050,0

The lower grades have more asian kids. Many asian kids transfer to Navy for AAP which skews the statistics making Navy more asian and Crossfield less asian.

There she goes again. No one said anything remotely racist against Asian people. PP keeps bringing up the Asian stats at navy hence the conversation. Do yourself a favor and put out whatever it is you are smoking.
