Mother of 2 from VERY prominent Richmond family arrested by FBI for child p@rn, exploitation, etc

There are a lot of people making things up on this board. No doubt she's a deviant and no doubt her family is helping cover things up, but of all these people claiming to know her or the family, I bet maybe one or two are actually true. This is like one of those true crime websites -- lots of people making things up and speculations based on the made up stuff.

Her children were removed a while ago from her care. I don’t think she will be much help since she’s basically insane. Her family is actually relieved she is now locked up. She had to do something and get caught for her to be put behind bars.

She did do something and got arrested for having sex in a park in 2019. And her father helped her get the charges dismissed, it's public record. Now they're changing their tune? Try a different spin, people in Richmond know.

Her family patterns have been part of the issue.

I think it's pretty common to refer to someone by their first, maiden and marital names (even or maybe especially if she's divorced, unless she dropped the exe's name).

But this really is horrific.

Her maiden name is Hunton, not Hunter. It’s pretty weird that the court documents say Hunter.

They missed it on page 5 and 6 of the statement of facts. Take a screenshot now, it’ll probably vanish.

PP you responded to - yes you are correct I do not understand this case. I am horrified like everyone else but don’t understand this case or why a mother would behave in this depraved way. Some PPs had some reasonable guesses but I have no idea.

Reading this thread actually gave me a restless night sleep as the implications for what has been inflicted on other children are so disturbing.

I am glad her children are safe and hope that other children will become safer thanks to this case and enforcement action.

I was aware of teen sex trafficking in DMV being a serious problem but did not know about this hellish world. Eleanor may be insane but some part of her brain enabled her to function in normal society and online so perhaps she will be able to give police solid leads to bringing down more child porn rings. Maybe not. But I hope some good can come of this horrific depravity.

Heaven have mercy on any past child victims and may they get the help they need.

She shared images of men penetrating children. Where did those images come from? The "I'll get naked too" suggests that she may have participated in such activities before and could link to those sick adults. Her family seems to still be set on denying and minimizing as they did after the 2019 arrest, getting it dismissed. Not a good tactic, look where it evolved to.

I get that you can't get someone on a psych hold unless they are a threat to themselves or others but they could have tried to get a conservatorship. Except they probably did not want to draw attention.

I imagine as she spent more time on FetLife and less time around normal people her insanity has just escalated. Very glad she was caught.

Sometimes that is an auto process based on a given number of days since the article was published. Don't know @ Daily Progress specifically, you could look at other articles from the same day and see if comments are still open?

I don’t know her but a few thoughts in response to certain issues raised:

— the 2019 charge. Prosecutors almost never prosecute those kind of misdemeanor charges, regardless of family connections. They are usually put on the nolle or stet docket and they get dismissed if there is no further offense within a year. So I doubt any strings were pulled.

— on why the feds don’t shut down those sites. I heard a talk from an FBI agent saying that years ago they did shut down the main site used by child molesters and then concluded that had been a mistake as it just pushed them to lots of other sites. They’d rather know where they are so they can track them.

Also, I somewhat want to believe the PP’s saying that she had well known psychiatric problems especially over the past five years. If it was obvious that she was spiraling out, that suggests to me it is much less likely that she was hosting play dates or anything like that in recent years. It’s much more horrifying to think that she was able to act like any other suburban mom that you would trust to watch your kids. I want to believe that anyone’s internal alarm bells would have been triggered by this woman.

Once they go through her computers thoroughly, they may be able to trace back to any other victims. And her lawyer may be able to get her to trade that for a slightly reduced sentence. But she’ll obviously be on the predator watch list forever.

She had been found guilty in 2019 and then had her father represent her to appeal and get it dismissed. Please read up before you just assume.
