Yes the people who keep starting to bash maret and bisgaard are not even whittle families and fail to remember that no one had applied this year and if they did they are not going/did not get in.
What are you talking about?!! People cited at least 3 different transfers and more to come
'People cited' on this board, meaning one person made up a story to whip up imaginations. There were no 'transfers' and won't be any this summer.
Correct. Whoever started this rumor has started a huge lie.
I guess you will be greeted with a surprising welcoming come September
Where? At Maret? Elaborate.
Why is everyone so surprised that kids were able to secure a spot at another school? Parents read the tea leaves last fall/winter and applied out. I expect that there are lots of whittle kids going to all the different privates, not just Maret. I feel badly for the families that didn’t jump the sinking ship and are now wondering what they’re going to do…but it seemed pretty clear what was going to happen some time ago now. Applying out wasn’t a nefarious action…and I don’t know why Maret is being targeted for accepting good, smart kids.
Because there were no admissions standards at Whittle and there was very little to no learning going on.
There are many top students from top publics and/or top K-8 schools (outlying fantastic students at known entities with known/consistent instruction standards) who were waitlisted at Maret.
Uh, I think it’s hard to base anything off of a public school transcript after COVID. Not much learning going on and grade inflation was/is out of control. I think that’s where the little to no learning was happening. How do you know that kids at whittle didn’t learn anything? Your DC go there?probably and hopefully not, but please, let’s not pretend public school has been a bastion of academia the past couple of years.
