birth control is not one hundred percent effective and is certainly not available to a rape victim and we will not be forced to carry unwanted pregnancies. No thank you to states trying to force unwanted pregnancies.
Birth control is highly effective and you can double up with a condom. You are full of excuses. States are not forcing anyone to get pregnant. How can a state force an unwanted pregnancy. You and someone else are responsible for an unwanted pregnancy.
DP: I believe in my right to decide not to have my body continue growing a fetus into a baby whether I was raped or not, whether my birth control methods were effective or not, whether the pregnancy endangers my health or not. I do not believe any 'mistakes' you believe I made force my body into growing a fetus into a baby. You cannot force your arbitrary religious definition that a fetus is an independent person on me. I'm 100% happy to let your beliefs govern all your decisions. Not mine.
Nobody forced a fetus into your body to grow.
Nope, my body grew it and I can decide if and when it will stop it.
I can decide: whether to have sex, whether to try and prevent a sperm from fertilizing an egg, whether to prevent that egg from implanting in my uterine wall, and whether to allow my uterus to continue growing a cluster of cells into a fetus, and whether to allow the fetus to continue growing into a baby. It's my body doing all this all along (with the help of a sperm at the start) and my decision whether it will continue to do so. Basic right to control my own body.
You seem to think that abortion is birth control - FoxNews talking point. If you actually knew anything about women/reproductive health, you'd know that there are many reasons why a woman may not want to be pregnant - completely unrelated to birth control. So sit TF down until you can discuss intelligently.
How do you figure that I'm only talking about birth control? I said my decisions about my body include: whether to have sex (abstinence) "prevent a sperm from fertilizing an egg" (birth control, Plan B) prevent that egg from implanting (possibly plan b, abortion pills). The decisions I make then about whether to continue to grow the fetus can be guided by many reasons, including my health, the baby's health, or the failure of earlier methods. I would prefer not to have an abortion, and use birth control when I don't want to get pregnant, but it's my basic right not to be forced to continue a pregnancy. And I don't think basic rights should change depending on what state you are in.
