We visited Penn State last week and absolutely loved it. Right now that is the first choice but we’ll see as more decisions roll in

Perhaps some self-reflection was in order before applying to 20 schools.

That seems unnecessary.

What does your comment have to do with OP’s question? Oh right, it has nothing to do with OP’s question.

Is it necessary to be so mean? What’s the point? Every kid/family/circumstance is different. Are you that unhappy that you need to s**t on other people to feel better.

For real! There are so many a*sholes on this board. Congratulations NYC Catholic school parent and best wishes to your DC.

This had been such a positive thread…

Like the NYC kid, My kid in DC applied to 15 so far - All EA. For some of us we must apply to many because we aren't the typical 4.5 -1600 SAT student. It is nearly impossible to get in regular decision unless you are stand out student. That is great the kid got in so many good schools. Congrats! DC has been accepted to 8 and rejected by 1. DC Private School - 3.3, URM, sports, community service, leadership positions , test optional.

Congrats! My kid is like yours but our private only allows 10 applications. My DC is into 3, rejected 1 so far and deferred at 2, DC is a bit nervous and would like to apply to more but can’t.

That is crazy they only allow 10. My DD's school has no limit -although they think she is crazy for applying to so many. ha. That is awesome for your DC too!!
