| This is a somewhat old fashioned concept that I don't hear a lot about anymore. But I'd love to hear your stories. |
| I don't think it's old fashioned. In my opinion, guardian angels exist. All souls have them. |
|
I think souls are connected, whether attached to a living person or a deceased. I believe my deceased MIL has been present in our children's lives since they were born. I'm trying to think of a specific instance where it seems she intervened in a dangerous situation, but nothing comes to my very tired mind right now. I will try to update if I think of something specific.
I will add that both of our nannies (current and prior) have also mentioned feeling the presence of a spirit near the children. One specifically said that she thought the spirit was protecting our older child. And, tonight, when I was putting our 2 and 4 year old to bed the 2 year old said, "the man is back." While looking at the wall in their room. I said, "where's the man?" She pointed at the wall and said, "right there." My four year old said, "there's no one there." My FIL is also deceased, so maybe that was him? First time she has ever said anything. But our older child used to say similar things when she was younger b |

Yes. I do believe that a gentle, kind, loving someone has been watching over me ever since I can remember. I think that my kids have the same sort of loving presence watching over them although not necessarily the same one. Dh does, too, in fact I think that these "guardians" have something to do (a lot to do) with bringing dh and me together in the first place.
The presence doesn't step in to handle things for me, it's more of a gentle insistence that something is going to or needs to happen. And I listen. |
| Yes I do. |
| where are guardian angels mentioned in the Bible or in Church doctrine? |
| What? Read the news on any given day to see how many kids weren't guarded. How can you possibly believe such a thing? |
psst - the Bible isn't the only sacred text. And your "church doctrine" is one of thousands around the world. Shocking, isn't it. There is nothing in the Bible about my Mac, but I'm sitting her typing on it. |
| Nope. |
I know. And I don't understand that, either. But I don't think that guardian angels step in to intervene on our behalf. I think that they just watch over us and that sometimes we can sense their loving presence. I also think that they are of great comfort to us when we do die. |

Of course not, Macs hadn't been invented in Biblical times and there's nothing about any computers in any church doctrine |
sounds like Guardian angles are whatever you want them to be. |
| My sister was studying art om Italy for a year and was living in a woman's house that had a large, tricky lock to front door. Coming home around 9 pm, she heard footsteps and gave a quick glance and a man was following her. She wa on the street alone and terrified when suddenly an English-speaking policeman appeared, walked her home, and unlockef the front door for her. She went in and turnef to thank him and he was not there, had completely disappered. |
| I believe a guardian angel brought my 1 year old adopted daughter and I together...There are a lot of coincidences...and her bio grandmom (my age!) suddenly passed away when baby was in utero, so....you never know... |
