^also they were too tight around her thighs. It looks like she has saddlebags. I thought she was slim so I am sure she doesn't, but that's how tight they were. I don't know how she could even walk.

Exactly. Honestly if I saw a mom wearing that at the 4th of July parade in my parents' beach town, I'd be like, okay best dressed! It was a lovely outfit for A patriotic parade. It was not the right outfit for THIS patriotic parade.

I stand by my earlier statement that it's like no one is bothering to tell her, or maybe they do and she just thinks she's too good to follow the rules. Maybe she just doesn't notice or care? To be honest, it's incredibly weird she and JD presumably left the house at the same time, she saw him in his suit and tie, and didn't realize it was more formal than she was anticipating. If my husband and I were going to an event, and I came downstairs wearing her outfit but saw my husband in a suit and tie, I'd be like...oh, shit, do I need to go change?

I truly can't believe you're putting this much energy into what she's wearing. Especially because she's not wearing some t-shirt and cut off shorts. She's wearing a lovely white lace top and red pants. She doesn't have to wear a suit or blazer. There aren't strict rules about what to wear for a parade, for crying out loud. Not sure what picture you're looking at, but her pants were very clearly not too tight at all. They fit her just fine.

I agree with the PP, the level of formality isn't the same. Kids look like they are going to Memorial Day brunch at the Country Club, JD looks like he's going to the office, and Usha looks like she's hosting the end-of-year school picnic.
