| Jen and Tyler. Two shameless, opportunistic, grasping grifters. Perfect for one another. |
| He deleted it but blamed the people who were making comments and said he took it down because he can’t monitor all his posts. So basically blamed others. It was a shitty post posted only to bring him glory. “Tyler you’re so amazing to care about this…” blah blah |
| Shoot I missed it...don't suppose anyone screen shotted it? |
It was just a black background with words something along the lines of… —-You may have heard that Ted Cruz’s daughter attempted to commit suicide. It’s time to put differences aside and reach out with empathy to our struggling teens. Many people took issue to the “attempt to commit suicide” verbiage. It kind of went on from there. Many many people agreed with the message of empathy for our teens. |
| To be clear: he said the daughter attempted to commit suicide and this is not in the news cycle. It’s that she stabbed her arm in self harm which may or may not be suicide. Him posting a black background w white text as fact, when it’s in fact conjecture, is really inappropriate and is by definition, misinformation (and could cause more harm to the child). He also tagged Ted Cruz in it. Really distasteful. |
|
The version I saw just had a black background (like his post before about Georgia) and it was one sentence and I can’t remember the exact words but was basically
“Ted Cruz’s daughter attempted to commit suicide today” Then it had his website at the bottom. It was so distasteful and just an attempt to get attention for himself. His defense to one person was “it’s already in the news”. What a dumb defense. |
| I saw his post before he took it down and the entire thing was very predatory and opportunistic on his part. This kind of behavior is sick and twisted and gives a ton of credit to the pp who posted from Nashville that he's a selfish predator. If he keeps putting out crappy content like this, then he's going to end up losing a lot of followers who found him because of Jen. He's going to have to be better or he's going to end up being a flash-in-the-pan C-list celebrity. |
| Idk her rabid fans were beside themselves over his original post and still drooling over his apology. |
|
This tweet applies to Tyler even tho I doubt he’s anywhere near the poster’s radar but she might as well have said it to him

I feel exactly the same way about him! 😂 |
I think he’s even more down to somewhere along a q-r-s-t celebrity list if that. Most C-list celebrities have a general recognition in the public, even if it’s just you remember they were on this TV series 5 years ago or only recognize the name or see them in paparazzi pictures. How many of us would have even know who he is if Jen hadn’t hooked up with him and blasted him into her little orbit? We get posts fairly regularly asking who is this Jen Hatmaker person? If the majority of the world don’t know who she is, they sure as heck have never heard of Tyler. |
| “doesn’t” know, not don’t know. 🙄. I hate when I see I’ve used hillbilly grammar. |
|
I can’t imagine sitting at home and seeing the news about Ted Cruz’s daughter, or any other story in the news cycle and thinking, “you know what. The world needs to hear my opinion on this topic. I have a unique and noteworthy point to make that no one has thought of. Sure I have no degrees, license, certifications or training of any kind, but I have had a thought and I think the world deserves to know.”
I mean it’s not like these people are curing cancer. They are sharing the most basic of thoughts or observations and acting like they’ve spilled golden knowledge from the holy fountain of wisdom. I have a few friends like this and it’s the same same same. They take a walk on the beach and then write a long post about “the simple things,” and “taking time just to be,” and “the importance of connecting with nature.” Geez thanks. I’ve never thought about that. One of my friends just moved her kid back to school after homeschooling and wrote a 5 paragraph post about “change” and “accepting the new work god is doing,” and “holding fast to new beginnings,” and on and on. Bro it’s not that deep. We are all intelligent humans. When you post “first day back at public school!” WE GET IT. WE CAN CONNECT THE DOTS. drives me batty but it’s basically copying influencer behavior. Maddening. |
| It's so self important and narcissistic |
I wonder if that comes with the territory of having a religious background. In my church experience, every action or event can have some kind of "life lesson" in it if you look hard enough. It doesn't matter if it's personal information or exploitive -- as long as it helps you explain life to someone else and you all feel good, the person you're using is just another sermon illustration. |
